When the temperature outside is below 50 degre my truck strart and run ok , in summer time like today motor crank fuel pump is working no start execpt if i put very little brake cleaner in the intake,i replace many sesor fuelpumpressure 38 today i test my TPS no mouvement of resistance or voltage when i move the thottle and when it strat with brake cleaner run black smoke no power and pinking.
I've got a 93 f-150 351w, 5.8 30,XXX miles, I Pulled all if the Key on, Engine off, codes, all of them are circuit failures, or something not receiving enough volts. I have a 1993 f150 xlt long bed 5.8, has 351 Windsor in it. 30,XXX miles. I haven't had this truck long, but it has developed a recent problem. I can drive it less then a quarter mile, shut it off, then it wont start. it has a rough idle, when you start it and give it no gas it wants to die, but stays running, its burning very black, and I know its running rich. I think that it is flooding itself when i go to start it again due to the fact i can smell gas after i shout it off and try and start it again, i don´t think it has anything to do with something being heat sensitive, but i could be wrong. it starts up immediately after it sits for a few hours.. any advice would help, thank you in advance
i have a 1993 f150 351 V8, 30,XXX miles. the truck was sitting for a good bit of time before I got it. Ive replaced fuel tanks, oil, fuel and oil filters.. the truck starts right up first crank after it sits for a few hours. but as soon as you shut it off, no matter if you drive 2 minutes, or 5 hours. it wont start again, just cranks, but wont turn over. batterys good, not sure what it could be. does anybody have any clue?
1993 Ford F-150 4.9. When I turn the key to the ON position I can hear the tank fuel pump run. If it runs for a just second or two the engine will crank every time. Most of the time, the fuel pump continues to run in the on position and the truck will not crank or fire at all. Truck has 2 tanks and 2 fuel pumps. Same situation with either tank. I have new fuel pump relays. Checked fuel pressure at Shraeder valve ok cranking ok running. Need answer. Thanks
