Amazing classic example of the 130bhp MK3 preface SRI. Great recro interior, sports wheel etc. Quite nippy when tunned, 16v redtop more disreable.Jan 21, 2008

I owned this car for 5 years and didn't have any problems whatsoever. It was a 2.0 8v CDI. Top-of-the-range: electric windows x4; electric/heated mirrors, ABS. It had 113 bhp as standard, and I reached a top speed of 120mph. This was my first car that I modified. Fiited 17" alloys; K&N induction kit; FSE boost valve; splitfire plugs and leads; Peco back box. With the modifications, I managed to reach a speed of 135mph, and was still going (the speedo only went up to 140mph). Only slowed down as was reaching end of dual carriageway. My friend in a Rover 220 Coupe could not keep up. Engine came to end of life at 157,000 miles. I could have fitted an SRi 8v engine (130bhp), but decided to get a different car.Dec 28, 2007
