1983 Audi 4000 Reviews, Pricing & Specs

I loved this car. It was a gift from my dad. I had always wanted an Audi and I got it just before my sophomore year of college. It was a rusty red color, but only because that was the paint color. No rust, clean, ran like a top. It was a manual transmission (my first) and it was the smoothest car I've ever had, to this day. What a great engine. Just too solid for words. Sadly, Wal-Mart performed an oil change for me and never put the plug back in, so I drove away with no oil and then engine seized up about 2 miles down the road. Dec 30, 2008
