What an awesome, great ride for 30 yr old car. Its really impressive the technology that was available in 1978.
very smooth, very quick, 4.5 liter v-8, gets about 18 MPG.
Top is a little tricky getting off, and the backseat is very small, but the front ones are comfy.

1978 450 SL with 55,000 miles, silver with black leather, second owner.
Bought the car in 1984 from original owner. Since 2004 I have had the car repainted, installed a stainless steel (lifetime), muffler, a new soft top, replaced most of the door and window seals and gaskets, new tires, a complete rebuild of the A/C, a new water pump and power antenna. Only driven about 3,500 miles since. Any idea how I can establish a price to list on the internet? E-bay prices are all over the place.

1978 Mercedes Benz 450 SL needs to have a oil change. I have been using Quaker State Blend 10W40 here in southern Atizona. Is this a good oil to use in this car ?
