What engine came stock in my 1973 Road Runner
Vin# RM21L3R3215XX for my car. I can't find a reference for an engine L code for 1973. What would it be? The car was made in Canada. I don't have a fender tag or build sheet for the car.

This car has a non matching
motor & transmission…
No documentation on engine work regarding when it was done & if anything was done to the transmission…
No pictures of chassis makes me suspect rust on a unibody car…
Does not have the correct machine gun exhaust tips so lots of modifications for the price…no information on any of the stated work..
Bench seat is a personal choice but not for me…
Didn’t go see this car but paint looked decent…

Bought my 73 400 4-speed Roda Runner new while in high school and still have it today; now its primarily used for cruise nights and car shows. With 26K showing on the odometer, its beautiful with root beer color exterior with parchment bucket seat interior with short e-body style Hurst pistol grip console shifter. Best of all (in my opinion) are the stripe delete (code V88) and factory 15x7 Rallye wheels. Took some work to de-smog and tune but it ultimately became a fast car with 3.91 rear gears, especially considering I lived in LA and spent countless nights cruising Van Nuys Blvd looking to race SS396 Chevelles. Hopefully it will remain in its pristine and pampered condition long after Im gone. Frankly, it gets more attention at car shows than my restored 68 Hemi Road Runner and its more fun and comfortable to drive. The storyboard my wife assembled regarding my 73 with 1970s photos and original purchase contract help to attract the attention at shows. If youre looking for a fun 70s musclecar that handles well, gets atention but is affordable, a 73 Road Runner is worth your consideration.Jun 25, 2023

I have owned the car for 10 years now and decided to do some custom work on it mostly cosmetic now that the power train is done, it has a built 440 and 727 trans with a 1700 stall converter.Mar 20, 2011

This is one of the classic american cars that has that muscle look/feel but isnt the same car your neighbor has. This is a fairly rare car but great performance and fun to drive. Ours only has a 318 in in witch is the smallest available motor at the time we are looking to put a larger engine in it to get a little bit better performance out of it.Aug 10, 2009

Bought the car in '97. Restored it and now love driving it.
original 340 roadrunner, now has a VERY strong 360. She'll get up and go.
Very reliable. MOPARs don't beak often.
Gas mileage? - With that engine what do you think?
Very fun to drive, accelerates nicely, handles well, and stops quick enough.
I also have a 71 I'm restoring.

Acceleration is unbelievable, however due to the weight...the breaking and handling are not up to par.
The build quality is stupendous, it only rattles due the sheer power being exherted to the rear wheels, but needs very few repairs because of the solid steel frame and body.
Gas milage is terrible but with proper maintenance that any car needs you should have no engine problems.
It is a crazy fun car to drive with almost 450 hp.
I would recomend any one who has a chance to purchase one to buy it.Sep 02, 2008
