The 3 litre V6 was smooth not too shabby on torque. The automatic tranmission was both smooth and distinct. All in all a nice cruiser that wasn't completely lost on a twisty road. The creature compartment was vedry roomy and the seats quite comfortable, making it a nice highway cruiser, but not a racer by any stretch of the imagination. As most Fords, it wasn't the best quality car I've owned but clearly better than the 1980 Audi 200 5T I had a couple bof years later. Petrol thirsty yes, but in those days that was not a concern. Head turning sweeny-tastic looks combined with loads of vinyl, chrome and American style dash componants made this one of my favourite cars.Poor electrics and a Weber carb with auto choke was problematic.Dec 10, 2007
