Overview

The FX4 model was Ford’s moderately capable off-road spec of the popular F-150 full-size pick up truck. Although not as bonkers as the SVT Raptor, the FX4 trim still had four-wheel drive, a rear locking differential and 18-inch wheels. The FX4 trim was killed when Ford introduced the 13th generation of the F-150 in 2015. The FX4 was available in a regular, crew or super cab with a short or long bed. A 3.5-liter was standard on the regular cab, but a 5.0-liter was standard on the more popular crew and super cabs.

In 2014 the least expensive F-150 FX4 was a regular cab and came in right around $39,000 MSRP. Used examples on CarGurus range from $14,999.00 to $22,399.00 with an average price of $11,945.02. For $5,420 you could get Equipment Group 402A with heated and ventilated front seats, adjustable pedals, dual-zone climate control and more. A turbo V6 could be swapped on the super and crew cabs for an additional $1,095 while a 6.2-liter V8 could be added for $2,140.
