What Mitsubishi Outlander do most buyers choose?

The Mitsubishi Outlander years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2025.

These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right price and equipment mix. They also sit close to the sweet spot where newer features and broader availability overlap.

What is the Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

Most model years in the table are moving lower year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want more room to negotiate. The biggest drops are concentrated in the newer years, while a few older years are falling more slowly. That pattern suggests you can find stronger value in recent model years without giving up the Outlander’s core appeal.

The 2019, 2018, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

• 2025: 7/10
• 2022: 8/10
• 2018: 8/10
• 2016: 7/10

For the safest used buy, the 2018 and 2022 models both post the highest confirmed score of 8/10.

Should I buy a used Mitsubishi Outlander now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −14.89% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −10.68%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 42.3% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 42.6%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $22,798. The Mitsubishi Outlander offers a practical three-row layout that gives you extra passenger flexibility in a compact-SUV footprint.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Mitsubishi’s AWD system was developed through many winning years of rally racing in the 1980s and 1990s, and the Outlander just needs a bit more power to make it an enjoyable drive.
• Tech: Every Outlander gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and upper trims get a large digital gauge cluster.
• Safety: The 2025 Outlander adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure prevention and traffic sign recognition on the SE and above.
• Starting price: The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander with FWD starts at $31,140 including destination.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
