What should I look for when buying a used Kia EV6?
Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
| Model Year | Accident-Free % |
|---|---|
| 2026 | 96.8% |

| 2024 | 93% |
| 2023 | 92.1% |
| 2022 | 91% |
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Highway Driving Assist 2 pairs adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist and lane-change assist.
- Infotainment: standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel.
- Range & charging: 237 miles, 63-kWh battery pack, 270 to 310 miles, and 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes.
- Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, ask how the car was typically charged at home versus on DC fast chargers, and confirm remaining battery warranty coverage.
Which Kia EV6 trim should I buy?
The 2025 Kia EV6 offers these trims:
- Light: The entry point uses a single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup with a 63-kWh battery, and it suits you if you want the most accessible way into the EV6 lineup.
- Light Long Range: This trim adds the larger 84-kWh battery and longer driving range, making it the best-value choice for many shoppers.
- Wind: This version builds on the long-range setup and gives you the same larger battery with available single-motor or dual-motor AWD configurations.
- GT-Line: This trim adds the more upscale, futuristic cabin presentation and the dual-motor AWD setup in the tested vehicle, along with premium interior touches.
- GT: This is the performance-focused trim for buyers who want the highest-output EV6 experience.
What Kia EV6 do most buyers choose?
The Kia EV6 years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2025.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 1,259 | 32.1% |
| 2024 | 1,249 | 32.3% |
| 2025 | 732 | 32.5% |
| 2022 | 620 | 30.8% |
| 2026 | 94 | 26.6% |
Higher-volume model years usually give you more shopping choice, which can make it easier to compare prices, trims, and condition. They also tend to be the years most buyers gravitate toward when balancing availability and value.
What is the Kia EV6's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2022 | $23,045 | −7.98% |
| 2024 | $29,255 | −6.26% |
| 2023 | $28,287 | −3.21% |

Should I buy a used Kia EV6 now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2024 model is at −6.26% versus a year ago, and the 2023 model is at −3.21%.
- Deal availability: The 2024 model has 32.3% good and great deals, and the 2023 model has 32.1%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2023 model has the most listings at a current average price of $28,287. The Kia EV6 offers a stylish, high-quality cabin with a polished, modern feel that makes it easy to live with.
Consider waiting if:
- Range & charging: 237 miles, 63-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack, 270 to 310 miles, and 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes.
- Tech: standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 12.3-inch touchscreen display married to a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel.
- Safety: Highway Driving Assist 2 pairs adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist and lane-change assist.
- Starting price: Prices range from $44,395 to $65,295, including the $1,495 destination charge.
If you're buying used today, the 2023 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for 2027 inventory to mature.

I purchased a 2022 Kia EV6 Wind AWD with about 8k miles on it in September. Drove it the last 4 months and it was a very responsive and great handling car. I had multiple issues with Chargepoint and ended up replacing it with a Wallbox home charger. The wallbox is faster (11.5 kw/h) as well and much more reliable. I totaled the car last week and had zero injuries thanks to the amazing crash worthiness and safety features. I have to shop for a new car and I will probably get another one. Price/quality is right up there ! Some of the features are a little quirky to use and I dont like that the apple car play must be plugged in still. Probably my only negatives.

Expensive for normal features. I can get similar features in Hyundai kona, Kia nero or Nissan leaf. Alternative options are better than this.
