Customer summary
The Ford Mustang Mach-E has received enthusiastic praise from owners across all model years for its impressive performance, stylish design, and advanced technology. Drivers particularly enjoy the comfortable interiors and all-wheel-drive capability, making it a smooth and enjoyable ride. However, there are some common concerns regarding the vehicle's range and charging options, with many wishing for improved range and shorter charging times. Overall, it stands out against competitors like the Tesla Model Y, but the higher price point and some software issues have drawn criticism.

| Model Year | Accident-Free % |

| 2026 | 95.4% |

| 2024 | 93.3% |
| 2023 | 91.7% |
| 2022 | 90.1% |
| 2021 | 81.7% |
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Ford’s Co-Pilot 360 Assist+ suite, including automatic emergency braking with intersection assist and pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, an exit warning system, high-beam assist, a driver-attention monitor, and rear parking sensors.
- Infotainment: Ford’s 15.5-inch portrait touchscreen with Sync 4A, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
- Range & charging: 260 miles of range, a 73-kilowatt-hour battery pack, and DC fast charging from 10-80% in as little as 43 minutes.
- Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, review how the vehicle has been charged over time, and confirm remaining battery warranty coverage before you buy.
Which Ford Mustang Mach-E trim should I buy?
The 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E offers these trims:
- Select: The entry trim starts the lineup with the standard 264-horsepower rear-wheel-drive setup and the Mach-E’s core style and tech, making it the value-focused choice for shoppers who want the model’s main appeal at the lowest starting point.
- Premium: This is the best-value trim for many buyers, adding the dual-motor extended-range setup in the tested example, along with the stronger mix of power, range, and creature comforts that make the Mach-E feel especially well rounded.
- GT: This trim turns up performance with 480 horsepower, 600 lb-ft of torque, stronger Brembo brakes, and sport seats, making it the pick for buyers who want the quickest and most aggressive road-going version.
- Rally: The Rally adds a taller ride height, underbody protection for the front and rear motors, a standard Performance Upgrade, and a playful character tuned for gravel roads and even mud, while also bringing distinctive rally-inspired styling.
What Ford Mustang Mach-E do most buyers choose?
The Ford Mustang Mach-E years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2022.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 2,911 | 35% |
| 2023 | 2,346 | 33.9% |
| 2022 | 2,151 | 33.3% |
| 2025 | 1,317 | 36.8% |
| 2026 | 896 | 36.8% |
| 2021 | 508 | 33.3% |
These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right trim, price, and condition. They also sit in the sweet spot where newer features and broader availability overlap.
What is the Ford Mustang Mach-E's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2021 | $23,812 | −9.82% |
| 2024 | $33,194 | −6.44% |
| 2022 | $27,220 | −5.94% |
| 2023 | $31,153 | −2.76% |
Prices are moving lower across every year shown, which is good news if you’re shopping used. The biggest drops are in the older and newer ends of the table, while the smallest change appears in the middle of the lineup. That pattern gives you more room to find value without giving up the model’s core appeal.
The 2023, 2022, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Ford Mustang Mach-E safe?
- 2026: 9/10
- 2024: 8/10
- 2023: 9/10
- 2021: 7/10
Ford’s Co-Pilot 360 Assist+ suite comes standard on the latest Mach-E, bringing a broad set of driver-assistance features to the model. For used buyers, that means you can shop with confidence knowing the newest versions build on a strong safety foundation.
For the safest used buy, the 2023 and 2026 models both post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.
Should I buy a used Ford Mustang Mach-E now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2024 model is at −6.44% versus a year ago, and the 2023 model is at −2.76%.
- Deal availability: The 2024 model has 35% good and great deals, and the 2023 model has 33.9%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $33,194. The Ford Mustang Mach-E offers a stylish, practical electric SUV character with strong everyday appeal.
Consider waiting if:
- Range & charging: The Mach-E offers 260 miles of range, a 73-kilowatt-hour battery pack, and DC fast charging from 10-80% in as little as 43 minutes.
- Tech: Ford includes a 15.5-inch center touchscreen, Sync 4A software, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a digital key.
- Safety: Ford’s Co-Pilot 360 Assist+ suite comes standard, and BlueCruise also comes standard for 90 days.
- Starting price: The Select starts at $39,840.
If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for 2027 inventory to mature.

Nice external look. Zippy. I don’t love the vertical positioning of the computer. And minor but the door for the charger has a dimple in it, making it look like the car has a dent.

The newly updated Mach-E GT has some great features from the previous GT Performance Editions, but Ford has removed some standard options from previous year models. One big one is the hands free rear trunk option. The Magride suspension is amazing. Overall, I think the new GT’s are a great value at the reduced price point (compared to my 2021 GT).

Ford Mustang Mach-E test drive
overall

The 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E attacks the electric SUV segment with good looks and practicality.
Every automaker needs a successful electric SUV, and the best way to go about that is to make it look good. Ford’s bread-and-butter electric SUV does that by borrowing design elements from the legendary Mustang coupe and convertible, teaming them with a roomy interior and useful electric driving range. Offered in a variety of trims, the Mach-E works as a practical daily driver and can be had with big-time power and even as a rally-inspired trail beast.
Verdict: The Ford Mustang Mach-E’s appealing looks are backed up by a practical interior, a viable range, and a variety of trim levels. It doesn’t charge as quickly or go as far as some rivals and the ride could be better, but the Mach-E offers style in a market sadly lacking it.
