| Model Year | Accident-Free % |

| 2023 | 91.6% |
| 2022 | 90.1% |
| 2021 | 89.5% |
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Co-Pilot360 is optional on the base trim and standard on the Big Bend and higher trim levels.
- Infotainment: a 12-inch touchscreen running Sync 4 with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Fuel efficiency: 18 mpg city, 21 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined
Which Ford Bronco trim should I buy?
The 2025 Ford Bronco offers these trims:
- Bronco: The base model gives you the Bronco’s core rugged character, two- or four-door body styles, and the standard 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a seven-speed manual; it suits you if you want the entry point into the lineup.
- Big Bend: This is the best-value trim, adding the Ford Co-Pilot360 safety package and serving as the smart upgrade for most buyers.
- Outer Banks: This trim adds leather seating surfaces, a heated steering wheel, LED lighting, and available turbocharged V6 power.
- Heritage: This trim leans into the retro look and includes the Sasquatch package as standard equipment.
- Badlands: This trim adds bigger tires, an upgraded suspension package, a classier interior, and a front sway-bar disconnect for more serious trail use.
- Stroppe Edition: This two-door special edition brings race-ready styling, a matte black hood, and a desert-focused personality.
- Raptor: This top-end model adds an ultra-wide body kit, huge tires, dramatically lifted suspension, and the most extreme off-road hardware in the lineup.
What Ford Bronco do most buyers choose?
The Ford Bronco years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2022.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 5,455 | 34.2% |
| 2023 | 5,296 | 33.8% |
| 2022 | 4,253 | 33.9% |
| 2025 | 3,877 | 33.6% |
| 2021 | 2,194 | 34.3% |
| 2026 | 2,133 | 32.9% |
These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim, body style, and price point. They also sit in the sweet spot where newer features and broader availability overlap.
What is the Ford Bronco's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | $47,531 | −16.49% |
| 2024 | $45,084 | −10.27% |
| 2021 | $36,501 | −9.34% |
| 2022 | $37,526 | −9.01% |
| 2023 | $41,333 | −8.91% |
The table shows broad downward movement across the lineup, which can work in your favor if you're shopping used. The biggest drops are in the newer model years, while the older years show smaller year-over-year changes.
The 2023, 2022, and 2021 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Ford Bronco safe?

Should I buy a used Ford Bronco now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −16.49% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −10.27%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 33.6% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 34.2%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $45,084. The Ford Bronco offers a rugged, distinctive personality that blends classic styling with serious off-road capability.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: The base 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine spins out 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, while the optional turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 ups output to 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque.
- Tech: Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and a second 12-inch screen serves as a digital gauge cluster.
- Safety: Co-Pilot360 is optional on the base trim level and standard on the Big Bend and higher trim levels.
- Starting price: The Bronco starts at $40,990 in base trim.
If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

Great car for outdoors. Ford could have provided little more storage space -- like above the glove box or behind seats. Noise level can also be further reduced, for it to be used as a commuter vehicle during week :) Overall, it is a very good alternative to Jeep providing superior offroad experience.

Ford Bronco test drive
overall
The Ford Bronco leans heavily into the past with its throwback looks and retro design touches, but under the skin it’s a fully modern off-roader.
Unlike some SUVs that only look like they were designed to excel in the dirt, the 2025 Ford Bronco delivers the goods. It’s more comfortable on streets and highways than the Jeep Wrangler and it offers buyers a wide range of variants to choose from.
Verdict: Buyers would do well to consider carefully how they plan to use their car day in and day out before making the decision to buy a new Bronco. While the 2025 Bronco is an extremely fun beast that’s a blast to play with on-road and off, it requires some serious compromises to use as a daily driver, and it's hardly a bargain.
