| 2022 | 90.4% |
| 2021 | 89.8% |
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Ford Co-Pilot360 on the 2025 Big Bend and higher trims.
- Infotainment: 12-inch touchscreen with Sync 4, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
- Fuel efficiency: 18 mpg city, 21 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined.
Which Ford Bronco trim should I buy?
The 2025 Ford Bronco offers these trims:
- Bronco: The base trim starts the lineup with two- or four-door body styles and is the entry point for the Bronco's core off-road character.
- Big Bend: This is the best-value trim for most buyers, adding Ford Co-Pilot360 and serving as a smart step up from base.
- Outer Banks: This trim adds leather seating surfaces, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and LED lighting.
- Heritage Edition: This four-door trim leans into the retro look and includes the Sasquatch package as standard equipment.
- Badlands: This trim adds bigger tires, an upgraded suspension package, a classier interior, and a front sway-bar disconnect.
- Stroppe Edition: This two-door model brings race-ready styling, a matte black hood, and serious desert-terrain focus.
- Raptor: This top-end model adds an ultra-wide body kit, huge tires, dramatically lifted suspension, and unique high-performance capability.
What Ford Bronco do most buyers choose?
The Ford Bronco years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2022.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 5,171 | 33.3% |
| 2023 | 4,977 | 33.7% |
| 2022 | 4,053 | 33.8% |
| 2025 | 3,563 | 32.5% |
| 2021 | 2,076 | 34.1% |
| 2026 | 1,959 | 32% |
These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right trim, body style, and price. They also sit in the sweet spot where used pricing and deal availability are both strong.
What is the Ford Bronco's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | $47,773 | −18.21% |
| 2024 | $45,375 | −10.52% |
| 2021 | $36,788 | −9.33% |
| 2022 | $37,737 | −9.01% |
| 2023 | $41,767 | −8.59% |
Prices are moving down across every model year shown, which is good news if you're shopping used. The steepest drops are in the newest models, while the older years are falling more gradually. That creates a broader value window across the lineup for buyers who want a Bronco without paying near-new pricing.
The 2023, 2022, and 2021 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Ford Bronco safe?
- 2025: 5/10
- 2024: 6/10
- 2023: 5/10
- 2022: 5/10
- 2021: 7/10
Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard on the 2025 Big Bend and higher trims. For the safest used buy, the 2021 model posts the highest confirmed score of 7/10.
Should I buy a used Ford Bronco now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −18.21% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −10.52%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 32.5% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 33.3%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $45,375. The Ford Bronco offers a rugged, distinctive character that makes it appealing if you want an SUV with real personality.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: The 2025 Bronco base 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine spins out 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, while the optional turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 ups output to 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque.
- Tech: The 2025 Ford Bronco comes standard with a 12-inch touchscreen that runs the latest Sync 4 infotainment software, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included.
- Safety: The 2025 Bronco Badlands, Heritage, Stroppe and Raptor include a more advanced 4WD system with an Automatic mode.
- Starting price: The 2025 Ford Bronco starts at $40,990 in base trim with either two or four doors.
If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

Great car for outdoors. Ford could have provided little more storage space -- like above the glove box or behind seats. Noise level can also be further reduced, for it to be used as a commuter vehicle during week :) Overall, it is a very good alternative to Jeep providing superior offroad experience.

Overview

Ford revived the iconic Bronco SUV in 2021 and immediately had a hit on its hands. The automaker couldn’t build them fast enough, and they’re still hard to find a few years after the reintroduction. Ford offers the SUV in a wide range of configurations, including two- and four-door models and a separate, much more hardcore Raptor variant with a twin-turbocharged V6. Though similar in styling and attitude, the Bronco is generally easier to live with than its main rival, the Jeep Wrangler.
What’s New for the 2024 Ford Bronco
Ford shuffled trim levels for 2024, removing the base configuration. The larger 12-inch screen is now standard, and a heavy-duty bumper now comes with every Badlands model.
Design
The Bronco’s look varies wildly depending on the trim and options. Ford offers several wheel and tire combinations, and the SUV is available with two or four doors. The now-base Big Bend model features a carbon-gray grille with white Bronco lettering and 17-inch wheels with 32-inch tires, while the Black Diamond has a powder-coated steel bumper and rock rails with heavy-duty bash plates. Ford also offers a Heritage Limited Edition trim that brings a white grille and red lettering on bright, vintage-inspired colors.
Powertrain
Ford offers three powertrain options for the 2024 Bronco. The entry-level setup includes a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that makes up to 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque on premium fuel. A turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 is available that produces up to 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque on premium. Both engines come standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the four-cylinder can be paired with a seven-speed manual transmission.
Interior
The Bronco’s interior finishes and styling vary by trim level, with some offering marine-grade upholstery and rubberized flooring. Ford made it easy to remove roof panels and the doors for quick open-air driving, and there’s enough space for adults to ride in either row of seats. The four-door model has better cargo space and rear legroom, but the two-door is surprisingly spacious.
Technology
Ford made the 12-inch touchscreen standard for 2024, ditching the 8-inch unit from previous models. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, and HD radio. Ford’s Sync 4 infotainment software is one of the best in the business, bringing crisp graphics, responsive controls, and easy-to-understand menus that make it less distracting to use while driving. The Bronco is also available with an upgraded B&O audio system.
Safety
Ford equips a few advanced driver aids as standard, and others can be added. Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking come standard, and buyers can add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure alert with lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and more.
Pricing
Pricing for the 2024 Bronco starts at $39,130 for the two-door Big Bend. Stepping up to the four-door pushes pricing to $39,870. At the top of the standard Bronco line, the two-door Heritage Limited Edition runs $69,685, while the four-door starts at $71,105.
