The Type II from Volkswagen was not just a car, it was the icon of an entire decade. A social phenomenon if you will. Although it was not built for speed, it does what it's meant to do day in and day out. True quality German engineering.

This van is awesome. It is easy to work on and the motor is simple. It handles much better than any other van and has plenty of cargo room for hauling stuff, friends, or showing a lady the ride of her life.

My brother and I bought this car in 2004 and have enjoyed every minute of it. The acceleration and top speed are horrible, but what do you expect from 63 hp. Handling is always interesting, but again, what do you expect from a box on wheels. Braking is suprising good for such a big vehicle. Styling is exactly pretty, but it is an icon wherever it goes. For being over 35 years old, the car is still very solid. This car is still alot of fun to drive and you get smiles wherever you go.
