How much does the Toyota Grand Highlander cost in today's market?

Used Toyota Grand Highlander prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Toyota Grand Highlander's current nationwide average price is $45,495, and its lowest point over the past year was $44,062. Recently, prices have come down for the 2024 and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Yes — the Toyota Grand Highlander is a strong choice if you want a spacious, practical three-row SUV with a clear family-first focus. The all-generations owner rating is 5/5 across every model year in the data. Expert reviews rate the 2024 model among the highest across all years. The main trade-offs are cumbersome handling, some cheap-feeling interior materials, and subscription-heavy tech features. 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Toyota Grand Highlander models reliable?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, road-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

Which Toyota Grand Highlander trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander offers these trims:

• XLE: This is the entry trim and the best-value pick if you want the Grand Highlander’s core strengths at the lowest price point. It brings SofTex synthetic leather, a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, heated front seats, second-row sunshades, and the standard safety suite.
• Limited: This trim adds real leather, ventilation for the front seats, a heated steering wheel, and upgraded audio. It suits you if you want a more upscale daily driver with extra comfort features.

What Toyota Grand Highlander do most buyers choose?

The Toyota Grand Highlander years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2026.

Those higher-volume years tend to be the easiest places to shop because you get more inventory to compare, which can improve your odds of finding the right color, mileage, and equipment mix. They also usually give you the broadest spread of prices and deal quality.

What is the Toyota Grand Highlander's resale value?

Prices are moving lower across the model years shown, which is helpful if you’re shopping used and want more room to negotiate. The declines are meaningful, with the newer model showing the larger drop. That pattern gives you a better chance to find a recent Grand Highlander at a more approachable price than it commanded a year ago.

The 2024 and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Toyota Grand Highlander safe?

• 2024: 9/10

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across all trims.

For the safest used buy, the 2024 model posts the highest confirmed score of 9/10.

Should I buy a used Toyota Grand Highlander now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −8.32% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −6.27%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 39.5% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 39.7%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $45,136. The Toyota Grand Highlander offers a spacious, family-friendly cabin with an adult-sized third row and a practical, road-trip-ready character.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: You’ll be able to purchase a Grand Highlander with one of three available engine options. Starting things off, Toyota’s 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine will produce 265 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. For folks willing to sacrifice power for fuel efficiency, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid option will develop 245 combined net horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque (no combined net figure has been provided). At the top of the price range lives the Hybrid Max powertrain. This 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid mill turns out 362 combined net horsepower and 400 combined net lb-ft of torque.
• Tech: Every 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander comes equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included.
• Safety: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, road-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.
• Starting price: the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander should arrive at dealerships in July 2023 with a base MSRP of $44,405 including a $1,335 destination fee.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
