Which Toyota Corolla trim should I buy?
The 2025 Toyota Corolla offers these trims:
- Corolla LE: the entry point for the lineup, with the Corolla’s core everyday usability and a straightforward setup.
- Corolla SE: the sweet-spot trim, giving you options and avoiding the plain vanilla look of the base Corolla LE.
- Corolla FX: adds sport-tuned steering, a lowered sport suspension, snazzy wheels, and a spiffy spoiler for a more athletic look and feel.
- Corolla XSE: the top trim in this lineup, with the most upscale positioning and the trim level tied to the available JBL premium sound system.
What Toyota Corolla do most buyers choose?
The Toyota Corolla years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 7,936 | 34.3% |
| 2024 | 7,819 | 34.3% |
| 2023 | 6,133 | 33.5% |
| 2026 | 4,120 | 34.1% |
| 2022 | 3,241 | 30.7% |
| 2021 | 2,993 | 29.6% |

That combination makes them especially appealing if you want more choices without moving all the way to the newest model year.
What is the Toyota Corolla's resale value?

This car seems to be in great shape, mechanical wise and it seems very clean and well kept. I would try n get it myself but I need cruise control and this one doesn't have it. Most toyotas are dependable cars, that's why I'm looking for a Toyota Corolla.

Excellent reliability. Drives smooth. Only minor downsides are it only has usbc ports, center console is small, driver window controls are positioned weirdly and lastly the sound proofing is a little weak. The car is definitely a solid move and the pros out weighs the cons.

Why it stands out
The 2024 Toyota Corolla stands out because it combines the Corolla’s long-running reputation for practicality with a broader range of body styles and powertrains than many buyers expect. In this generation, the Corolla sedan and Corolla hatchback are both available, the Corolla Hybrid is offered only as a sedan, and the GR Corolla is only available as a hatchback. Front-wheel drive is standard for most versions, while the sedan and hybrid models are also available with all-wheel drive. That mix gives the 2024 Corolla unusual flexibility for a compact car, whether the priority is everyday efficiency, added traction, or a more performance-focused setup.
For 2024, Toyota brought back the Nightshade Edition, which adds black exterior badging and bronze 18-inch wheels and is available across the sedan, hatchback, and hybrid variants. Tech improvements included wireless phone charging becoming standard on XLE and XSE sedans and XSE hatchbacks. The broader Corolla lineup also benefits from the 2023 update, which added an eight-inch touchscreen display, climate control, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support for all models. Those changes help the Corolla feel more modern and better equipped than its reputation for simplicity might suggest.
The 2024 Corolla also has clear strengths in efficiency and dependability. The hybrid combines a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with electric motors to produce 121 combined horsepower and 52 mpg combined fuel economy. Gas models use either a 1.8-liter engine with 139 horsepower or a 2.0-liter unit with 169 horsepower, depending on trim level. At the same time, the Corolla remains appealing because it is well engineered and built to last, though it is still not the most exciting choice in the class.
