Expert reviews rate the 2026 and 2021 models among the highest across all years.

34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

What should I look for when buying a used Toyota C-HR?
Across all model years, at 72.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
| Model Year | Accident-Free % |
|---|---|
| 2026 | 97.8% |
| 2022 | 75.9% |
| 2021 | 74.7% |
| 2020 | 69.3% |
| 2019 | 67.2% |
| 2018 | 65.4% |
Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2022 models.
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0
- Infotainment: a 14-inch touchscreen with the Toyota Audio Multimedia system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Toyota’s “Hey Toyota” voice assistant, and a cloud-based navigation system with Google POI data
Which Toyota C-HR trim should I buy?
The 2026 Toyota C-HR offers these trims:
- SE: This is the value-focused choice, with 18-inch black alloy wheels, a 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, and standard dual-motor AWD. It suits you if you want the lower entry price and the core C-HR experience.
- XSE: This trim adds 20-inch gunmetal multi-spoke wheels, a two-tone paint option, a surround-view monitor camera system, traffic jam assist, lane-change assist, and available JBL premium audio. It’s the better pick if you want the most features and the most upscale presentation.
What Toyota C-HR do most buyers choose?
The Toyota C-HR years with the most listings are 2019, 2020, and 2018.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2019 | 682 | 34.5% |
| 2020 | 674 | 35.6% |
| 2018 | 515 | 33.4% |
| 2021 | 490 | 35.7% |
| 2022 | 323 | 34.7% |
| 2027 | 91 | 28.6% |
Higher-volume years tend to be the easiest places to shop because you get more listings to compare and more chances to find the right price, color, and condition. They also tend to be the years most shoppers cross-shop first, which helps explain why they remain the most popular used picks.
What is the Toyota C-HR's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2020 | $17,439 | −6.22% |
| 2019 | $16,453 | −3.74% |
| 2022 | $22,511 | −2.78% |
| 2021 | $19,786 | −1.48% |
| 2018 | $14,799 | −0.53% |
Prices are moving lower across the model years shown, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want more room to negotiate. The biggest drops are concentrated in the newer and mid-cycle examples, while the older end of the range is changing only slightly.
The 2018 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.
The 2018, 2021, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Great car! Just the right size as a small SUV. Sits higher and the backs seat has more room than I expected. Love the sleek, sporty design. Lots of technology features. The only thing I would have added is heated seats.

Exceptional value! I love all the safety features and the very smooth ride. The MPG is great. Its a crossover but it is very spacious and has tons of storage space! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a crossover. The only thing I wish it had is Apple CarPlay, but I believe that only started to come standard in 2019.
