Solid car with enough power, and when you need the 4WD this not giant SUV climbs trees like squirrel. Its a well designed vehicle and comfortable. If ya want one get all the goodies and definitely 4wd cuz ya can park em anywhere almost, and they will crawl out of anything. These cars handle road well as most are all wheel ABS. The goodies can be had at a fair price and they retain value.

The wheel alignment on rear wheels was not right, out of the factory. I felt comfortable with the car during the test drive, I had just driven a 2009 Sorrento, and it seemed way better than the Sorreto. The XL7 has been flawless in snow storms, and DEEP snow. The fuel mileage averages 20mpg in summer, and 17.5 mpg in winter. Suzuki has a great website to get low cost repair info, at :https://suzukipitstopplus.com/Default.aspx I use Mobil One Extended Performance engine oil for a long lasting engine.

Love the way this drives and handles. Great reliable vehicle for work. Rear A/c went out at 120k miles but bypassed it and front a/c is working great. This was a bargain new in 2003 and wish they still made this body style.

Bought this car for use at a vacation home in Colorado. Have decided that AWD is required for that climate and road conditions. The car is also covered by extended warranty with 3 years and 44k miles remaining. Mileage is 17 city and 21 hwy.

The Suzuki XL-7 hit the market in 2002 and packs the most power in Suzuki's SUV lineup. Think of the XL-7 as a longer Grand Vitara with more power and room for either 5 or 7, depending on the trim. This model started out with a 2.7-liter, 183-hp V6 engine and got a major power upgrade to 3.6 liters and 252 hp in 2007.
Overall, the XL-7 does its best work on daily commutes carrying the family back and forth from home to school or work. Off-road capabilities don't amount to much, although you can roll off the beaten path for an occasional foray without too much trouble.
Its most recent alterations suggest that the XL-7 has gone from a more rugged vehicle to a crossover. Look for Suzuki to make even more of an effort to inject this SUV into the mainstream market in the next few years.
