Supposed to be '09 Suzuki APV 1.6 SGX, but it is not on the list. Performance: a. Acceleration - sluggish due to small engine and low-tech automatic transmission; 0-100 km/h at 12 secs. b. Braking - average; ABS engages lazily c. Handling - average, as long as you don't drive it like a sports car (it's a van, alright) - but sometimes I do drive it like a sports car LOL :D hey, it's more stable than you think! Build Quality: At 6,000 km, no squeaks, no rattles. Still holding on pretty well. Plastics aren't cheap-looking, and the car itself is pretty well-built. Appearance: a. Exterior - high ground clearance makes you pretend it's an SUV (sport-utility VAN); it's actually shorter than a Corolla Altis; very tall - some might think it might roll-over in hard corners, but actually it's not unstable. Front-end much, much better than pre-facelift model; design now caters to older tastes - I'm 18 but I liked it that way b. Interior - beige interior; 7 seats, 2nd row captain seats; very roomy; high greenhouse; upright seating position; A-pillar blocks quarter view, a disadvantage; backing up takes some getting used to; OEM stereo (JVC) with 6-speakers, 160W RMS - decent sounding, but bass vibrate doors badly (dampening needed) [optional DVD/Bluetooth/NAV system]; seats can be reclined to form a bed Cost of Ownership: - Tested Avg. Gas Mileage: 6.0 km/L (real BAD!) - Worst Tested Mileage: 4.5 km/L - Best Tested Mileage: 10.5 km/L Overall Rating: 4.0/5.0

I got this car in 2002 and would recommend to to every woman on the planet. It is easy to drive so dont be fooled by it`s size.. it is not much bigger than your average estate.. even parking is not a problem. It is pretty good on fuel especially on motorways There is room in the back for 4 adults, and the boot is very roomy

This has been a great car for me. I like riding a little higher than a normal car. Seats fold down to accommodate whatever I have needed to transport. Has required no major work. Kept oil changed and tires rotated and then other than changing the belts it has been problem free.

Introduced in 1999 as the successor to the Sidekick, the Suzuki Grand Vitara compact SUV has earned a reputation as a low-priced vehicle with plenty of standard features. The initial models started off with a 2.5 L, 155 hp V6 powertrain and a sturdy truck-like body. Suzuki added 10 hp to the engine in 2002.
The Grand Vitara got a significant re-design in 2006, adding body elements of a car and other exterior features. In addition, Suzuki has upgraded to a 2.7 L, 185 hp V6 engine with 5 speed manual or automatic transmission, depending on which trim you choose.
Overall, the Grand Vitara gets props for its pricing and features. However, the purported V6 would have trouble matching a lot of I4s. Consider the Grand Vitara a good buy for those who can't afford to spend too much.
