This 2.2vi Executive Automatic was alright to look at, so,so comfortable, fantastic 10 disc audio system, and loads of space. 2.2 engine was weak, rough, and noisey. Made worse by an appalling gearbox, both rough changes and conpletely mismatched engine/gearbox ratios, it would change at the wrong time most of the time! Did not enjoy this car, promptly changed it for a Volvo engined & gearboxed Safrane 2.5 20valve auto - Totally different car and so much better!

the safrane is an executive car.its rival was the 5 series bmw, this was the big sister to the laguna ,they come with all the bells n whistles,even a computor that talks to you, leather seats ,air con, only thing it didnt have was a counter to say how many shopping days till xmas lol down side... no manuals to refer to and as it was rare no garages wouldnt go near it ..so it was a challange to fix it mine was a 2.2i rt ex..in black.. a 1994.. but if u put a private on in you wouldnt know how ow it was ... great car but part were pricey 9/10 for a grin factor lol definately get another when i get my liecence back
