The Renault 16 wrote the book on comfortable, reliable, spirited and functional performance! I get a lot of looks and the car has never let me down. It's great fun to drive, and no one could ever steal it because it's got 4 speeds on the column, and no one has seen one of them in ages!

this car had a removable hard-top and a vynil removable electric roof , but it was not a convertible. came stock with a double weber carburator. great performance. but as with all french cars, bad body, rusty, thin,etc.. was fun driving . till my parents took it for a ride and wrecked it completely. they were lucky to get out alive.

Renault 16 TS had a comfy interior with some features very few manufacturers had at the time. Adjustable headlights was perhaps useful, but you could live without the blue lighting in the ashtray. Performance was surprisingly OK 0-60 mph if you knew your manual column shift. Very comfortable handling on various road conditions. Only issues was replacement of alternator and resleeving.. This car loved snow, rather fun for a fwd.
