• Safety package: adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and the federally mandated reversing camera
• Infotainment: Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with a 10.9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, a navigation system, and connected services

Which Porsche Macan trim should I buy?

The 2022 Porsche Macan offers these trims:

• Macan: The base model brings the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 261 horsepower, plus the refreshed styling, larger standard wheels, and the updated interior controls; it suits you if you want the entry point into the lineup with the core Macan character.
• Macan S: This is the best-value trim, adding the twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 with 375 hp and 383 lb-ft, along with newly standard PASM adaptive damping suspension and larger 20-inch standard wheels for a stronger blend of pace and polish.
• Macan GTS: This trim adds the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with 434 hp and 406 lb-ft, carrying the highest-output powertrain in the lineup for you if performance matters most.

What Porsche Macan do most buyers choose?

The Porsche Macan years with the most listings are 2025, 2026, and 2024.

The highest-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you the broadest selection of listings and the easiest path to comparing prices, equipment, and condition. They also tend to be the years shoppers focus on when they want newer features without moving all the way to the newest model year.

What is the Porsche Macan's resale value?

The table shows broad year-over-year price declines across the Macan lineup, which is helpful if you’re shopping used and want more room to negotiate. The steepest drops are in the double-digit range, while the newest model years are falling more slowly than the older ones. That pattern suggests the most recent Macans are retaining value better than the rest of the lineup.

The 2025, 2022, and 2021 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Porsche Macan safe?

• 2022: 4/10

Every 2022 Porsche Macan has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and the federally mandated reversing camera.

Should I buy a used Porsche Macan now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −5.19% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −11.81%.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Base Macans have a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the Macan GTS inherits the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 from the old Macan Turbo with 434 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque.

• Starting price: The Macan costs significantly more than its primary rivals, and the as-tested Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the evaluation vehicle was $87,670 including the $1,450 destination charge.
