Performance: acceleration is good but not great. Same for braking. Handling is good, at least for a coupe. Build Quality: car has over 60,000 miles and not rattles, a few squeaks in the interior though. But nothing too bad. Quality of plastics is good, like most European cars. Appearance: I love the exterior styling, as I love coupes. However, the front and back should both have been slightly longer to make the shape perfect. The interior is not too attractive but leather heated bucket seats as well as a good option list (auto A/C for example), makes it a nice interior to spend time in. Cost of ownership: gas mileage is roughly 30 miles per gallon. Maintenance is not too expensive for the moment as only motor oil has been changed.

Super quality - never more than standard repairs - just like my last Astra. It's a kind of weak motor (1,6 16v) but only on acceleration. Driving on high way is just so silent and comfortable. Being a station wagon it's also very flexible and suitable for our family with 2 adults and 2 children - also when we always needed to bring our baby carriage.

It's not your common run of the mill hot hatch. The sleek design, the curves and bodylines set it apart from anything else on the market. Associated with its striking good looks, is at the heart a 2.0L Turbo charged engine pushing out 147kw of power. Thats enough to accelerate you from 0 to 100km/h in a amazing 7.2 seconds and races onto a top speed of 234km/h !!! The car comes with all the bells and whistles that you would normally find in its bigger German counterparts. Steering wheel controls, MP3 player, xennon lights, 18'' wheels, OBC are to name just a few. It has excellent road holding, but squeeze that accelerator a lil too much and you'll find that its easy to spin the massive 18'' tyres, that is until the traction control kicks in and prevents too much wheel slip. Other driver and safety features are EBD electronic brake force distribution, ABS antilocking braking system, ESP electronic stability control, DDS tyre Deflation detection system and 6 airbags. All of these systems work with the driver rather than against to provide a exhilarting drive. With the touch of the sport button the car seems to come alive. The throttle and steering response sharpens and the car tightens with anticipation of a race car. All in all it is a perfect blend of sportiness and comfort. It truly is in a class of its own.

Performance: Good from a 1.6 inline Economy: Great, managing 7.3L/100km with a 5 speed manual Looks: Good, reason my wife wanted the car ;) Cost of ownership: So far we have not had any break downs. Fun: Sure, it´s not a real race car or anything but it´s nice for raod trip.
