2011 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet Base Review
by mrjmc72

Beautiful Car for the Kid at Heart!!

The car handles great, nice acceleration, being a convertible, of course there is a little more road noise, but overall, it should not bother you. The AWD makes the car safe, the back seats are comfy, just don't expect to much for storage space - it probably offers more than most convertibles though.

Avg. Dealer Rating: (3 reviews) "Full transcript of communication: Me: I am interested in this vehicle, would you be willing to negotiate price? MS: I am considerably under book with my advertised cash price. We are only a cash or bank financing store. It has a perfect one owner history, and it is fully serviced and 100% ready. Me: Thank for the quick response, I appreciate it. As you can see from the attached images that may not necessarily be the case though I'm sure you have access to better information than I do. However, you can also see there are comparable C Class 4matic vehicles that are priced less and some are certified pre- owned. I'd prefer to do business local but if you have no room for negotiation I understand. Thank you MS: I do not use anyone else's cars to price mine. If you truly do want to buy local, why don't you come out and introduce yourself and we can look our service/inspection expenses. If fine tuning by very little is on your mind, if not, thanks for emailing. Me: You may "not" use others' vehicles to price yours however, that is how the market is set. Therefore whether your intention or not, the price of vehicles you sell is determined by price of comparable vehicles as that is what drives "book value" and what the market will bear. That being said, ignoring these comparable vehicles, your's is still priced higher than book value contrary to your claim earlier. I do not intend to second guess you or your process however, as I am very interested in this vehicle I must attempt to purchase at fair market value so as not to detriment my family. I prefer obtaining details and conducting initial negotiations via email as my work schedule does not permit me to come and go as I please. It is beneficial for me to get most things arranged prior to coming to the dealership as it makes everything (at least in my experience) more efficient and seamless. MS: I'm putting in the "know it all" category, enjoy your ride to Mn. You can put me in the jerk category. I have know idea how and what you do for a living, and you have no Idea about me, the only difference is that you think you do. Take care and enjoy your new car. please don't stop, i'm very busy. Me: I am an IT Professional by trade however, I do not see how that is relevant. I have been nothing but polite in my communications with you and have simply asked if you would be willing to negotiate the price of a vehicle based on relevant information I've found. I have not pretended to know anything about you or your business but have done my share of negotiating and purchasing vehicles from local and non-local dealerships and have never had an issue with them negotiating or at least providing a reasonable explanation as to why they might not. The information I've cited is for the purpose of giving you perspective as to where I'm coming from and why I'm willing to pay what I'm willing to pay. I apologize if that makes me a "know it all" in your eyes or if I've offended you as that wasn't my intention. I pride myself on being an informed consumer so I will not overpay for a commodity easily found in the marketplace. If you feel that your customers should overpay for autos, boats, etc... because you say so, I can appreciate that but at least be honest about it and don't lash out on those that treat car buying as what it is, a business transaction. I'll make sure to let my friends and family know you are not willing to reasonably conduct business and are rude to potential customers who have the audacity of trying to negotiate or inquire information regarding the price of an auto they'd like to purchase. MS: (Calls my employer whom has nothing to do with this transaction to let them know I am harassing MS. Then posts the following comment in response to my 1 star review in which I've made no comment) There is always that person that thinks they know more than the person who has been doing it for 32 years, no matter the business. Today it is this "guy". Further more, I had to block this person from my email because of his unrelenting harrassment. This person has never been at our shop & knows nothing about us. Me: I am forced to post my response to the business' off base comment here as he has blocked me from replying to his post. This is factually incorrect and I have been to your shop several times, specifically last Summer as I was inquiring about aquatic rentals. My experience previously had been pleasant but unfortunately that is no longer the case. However, it appears you can't accept the fact that you may have lost business because you are rude and unwilling to acknowledge the fact that the vehicle in question was not priced "considerably below book value" as you claimed. Edit: YOU wasted my employers time as I was home taking care of my sich child who happened to be napping during most of this exchange. You could have simply said, "We don't negotiate price." and that would have been the end of it but instead you claimed to be considerably under book value, etc... Obviously someone so mis-informed might be willing to negotiate once shown that their claim is in fact in error. That's all I was attempting to do; purchase a vehicle from you at a fair price. Frankly if it took you 3 hours to read and type the correspondence in question I'd argue that's your problem, and perhaps a real comprehension problem."
