Used Mercury Milan for Sale near Mansfield, OH
Mercury Milan Overview
Mercury unveiled the Milan mid-sized sedan in 2006. It is aimed toward younger buyers who want something a bit sophisticated and who are likely purchasing their first new car. The Milan comes in four-cylinder trims as well as V6. This was the first car in its class to offer a 6-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Although the included safety equipment isn't missing any essentials, the results of government crash tests could be a bit better in some areas. Milan owners are generally quite satisfied overall, citing the American-made car's value, style, and comfort.

Overall, the Mercury Milan has garnered a reputation for its stylish design, comfortable interior, and solid handling across various model years. Owners appreciate its smooth ride and enjoyable driving experience, especially with the V6 engines, which provide better power and acceleration. However, some have noted issues with fuel economy not meeting expectations and occasional reliability concerns, particularly with certain components deteriorating over time.

What people say
The black cloth interior attracts everything, would def go with leather vs fabric interior, love the dashboard and features with SYNC and being able to plug in my iPod and listen to it - eliminates the danger in shuffling through CD's while driving. Love how the music turns off when cell phone rings so you don't miss calls, and I can just push a button on the steering wheel and talk on the cell phone, through the radio speakers... no shuffling through my purse to find my phone. The voice automated system is suprisingly accurate with understanding what you're command is. I drove the 4 cyl and would NOT spend the money on this car as a 4 cyl... but the V6 is a completely different story! Love it's "get up and go". Handles well in the winter, but poorly in rain storms, hydroplanes like crazy. Even with new tires. Otherwise, overall the car is a good family car.
Performance: Very impressive for an American-made 4-cylinder. These engines used to be downright horrendous, but the Milan's 2.5-liter delivers smooth, brisk acceleration without making all the noise I'd come to expect. Handling is even more impressive. This car just constantly begs you to drive a little bit faster, and to corner just a little bit more quickly. You have to stop yourself and say "Whoa! I'm in an American family sedan!" Build Quality: Surprisingly, I had very few issues with the interior quality of the Milan. A small trim piece to the left of the steering wheel, which stands out as cheap, flimsy, and poorly placed, for one, and I feel that the HVAC controls could be better placed, as they're distracting to use while driving due to their poor location. Appearance: Ford tried to strike an even middle ground between the Ford Fusion and the Lincoln MKZ with the Milan, and the end result is skewed a bit more toward Fusion. Since the styling is really just a mashup of two conservatively-styled cars, the end result is VERY conservative, very bland, very vanilla.... Cost of Ownership: Dealer maintenance rates are reasonable, and fuel economy is on par with the class. Fun Factor: Surprisingly, the Milan is quite enjoyable to drive. The 4- cylinder is peppy and cornering is sharp and precise. I really like the ride as well.
Handling is awesome for a midsize sedan, acceleration is ok, fuel economy is good, ride is smooth and quiet unless you have exhaust like me, looks great and has a solid build. The interior looks great if you get the two tone leather and dash looks good in either trim.
Great family car or for the sporty enthusiast. Handles like a BMW! I would recommend this car for those who like good acceleration and handling. The only downside is the gas mileage which averages around 17 mpg. I purchased with only 40k miles on her. She has needed very little maintenance.
If I had to buy it again I would opt for the Premier v6 which gives you better pickup and more interior features. I was trying to stay within a certain price and that was possible with this model. Overall it is an OK car.
