What is the Mercedes-Benz GLB's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | $37,422 | −15.63% |

The 2023, 2022, and 2021 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Mercedes-Benz GLB safe?
- 2022: 9/10
- 2021: 8/10
- 2020: 10/10
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB includes the Driver Assistance Package on the tested setup.
For the safest used buy, the 2020 model posts the highest confirmed score of 10/10.
Should I buy a used Mercedes-Benz GLB now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −15.63% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −14.95%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 27.7% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 30.9%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2022 model has the most listings at a current average price of $27,185. The Mercedes-Benz GLB offers a practical, roomy cabin that makes it easy to live with every day.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: Both versions of the GLB employ a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. However, the AMG GLB35 version is enhanced to produce 302 horsepower between 5,800 rpm and 6,100 rpm, and 295 pound-feet of torque between 3,000 rpm and 4,000 rpm. The official EPA fuel economy rating for the AMG GLB35 is 22 mpg in combined driving, down from 25 mpg for the GLB 250 4Matic.
- Tech: In the AMG GLB 35, MBUX includes a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Multimedia Package equips the GLB with a navigation system with an augmented reality system that overlays route instructions on a video feed from the SUV’s front camera.
- Safety: The Driver Assistance Package adds 12 desirable driving assistance and collision-avoidance technologies, including features like adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assistance.
- Starting price: Prices kick off at $38,600 for the 2022 Mercedes GLB250 with front-wheel drive (FWD), not including the $1,050 destination charge to ship it north from Mercedes' Aguascalientes, Mexico, factory.
If you're buying used today, the 2022 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for 2027 inventory to mature.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLB is the perfect blend of luxury, practicality, and performance. It offers a refined interior with premium materials, intuitive technology, and a surprisingly spacious cabin for its class. The ride is smooth and composed, with confident handling that makes both city driving and longer trips enjoyable. What really stands out is the versatility—plenty of cargo space, comfortable seating, and thoughtful features that make everyday driving effortless. The design is modern and upscale without being overdone, and the attention to detail is exactly what you expect from Mercedes-Benz. Overall, the GLB delivers luxury, comfort, and functionality in one well-rounded package. An excellent choice for anyone looking for a premium compact SUV that doesn’t compromise.

Fit and finish is what you would expect from Mercedes. The front seat comfort is a true relief for my aching back. Everything inside is focused on convenience for the driver. The track pad, mouses, and other interactive features make sure that everything is literally at your fingertips. The interior lighting is soothing as well as functional, especially when you have middle aged eyes that don’t see quite as well in the dark as they used to. The panoramic sunroof makes it feel like you can see the whole sky giving the car a very open feel in the front. Plus, the ceiling height is generous enough to easily fit my very tall sons. There really isn’t anything about this vehicle that I dislike except the standard floor mats. I’ll be ordering all weather mats. I do feel like there are some features that should be standard rather than optional for a luxury vehicle, but fortunately this one already had everything I needed. Also, the Denim Blue is a rich and velvety color. I had my mind set on black or dark grey initially, but I am glad that the blue was where I landed. It’s gorgeous!

I purchased a Certifed Pre-Owned GLB250 with approx. 30,000 miles on it, after previously owning a GLA250 model. This GLB250 currently has about 90,000 miles on it. I have owned over 100 vehicles, over my lifetime, and this vehicle is probably one of the best that I have ever driven,. At 6’3” tall, I have often found myself cramped in other vehicles, but not in this Mercedes! I do a great deal of traveling, so good overall fuel economy is a must for me. This GLB250 seats 7 people,(two small individuals in rear-most seats), and I’m averaging 30+ MPG on the highway. I think that the optional AMG sport appearance package is awesome, and truly sets this SUV apart from all of the others. I find that, even in the “comfort” mode, it is a blast to drive around! Mercedes really did do this model right!

Why it stands out
The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLB stands out in the compact luxury SUV class by making room for an optional third row. That flexibility gives it a broader passenger-carrying role than many rivals, and it helps the GLB feel like a practical choice for buyers who want Mercedes-Benz style without giving up everyday usefulness. Its approachable starting price also adds to its appeal, especially for shoppers looking for an entry point into the brand.
Beyond the seating layout, the 2021 GLB is described as an attractive crossover SUV with a flexible interior. It also brings multiple powertrain options and impressive technology, which should widen its appeal for buyers who want both variety and modern features. The tradeoffs are worth noting, though: the third row is cramped, the transmission is irritating, and the seats are uncomfortable.
