1990 Mercedes-Benz 560-Class 4 Dr 560SEL Sedan Review
by RickELake

The model most people visualize when they think Mercedes S-Class.

The 560sel was the top of the line w126 through 1991 and the classic design has become iconic. The quality of build and craftsmanship of materials is exceptional. The weight and solidity of the car is immediately apparent to the driver. Gas mileage is terrible at 12 mpg average. Extremely comfortable for highway driving. The prices for these w126 ...

Avg. Dealer Rating: (2 reviews) " The shop is friendly, skilled, and a bit eccentric. Had a fairly good inventory. They tried to push another car that was on the lot for too long on us. A trusted mechanic said the car was solid, except for of course the maintenance the needed to be done and the check engine light that was came on days after the car was purchased. It seems like a fine car. Not terribly impressed with the business side of it. They only excepted cash or check and took our money in seconds flat. Said the car would be ready in a day or two and would look at our car if we were interested in selling. We ended up selling the car to them and only have their check bounce. We were contacted by the owner to resolve, but he never followed up (something they do there) and in the next several days we did eventually get the money and was charged $15.00 for their wire transfer. When we received the car, the armrests still needed some refurbishing and they promised to do it later when the materials became available. When the driver went to pick up the plates and requested the promised work be done, they refused. I'll say it again, I am not impressed. "
