(39 reviews)My very first car was the MB Miget. I loved the car so much. It was very fast and if you ever need to change your tire it was so easy to do. I miss it so much.
cracking little motor, starts everytime, runs niceley and turns heads in summer! Really good looking both inside and out with leather interior and wooden steering wheel. great handelling and comfy / cosey inside. Easy to maintain and very reliable for its age, economic and easy to service an all round great car, easily reccommended!
Not terribly fast on the freeway, but quick off the mark and very direct steering and firm ride made my baby MG a dream to drive on tight twisty raods like Chapmans Peak. Because it was so small you didn't need a wide road to overtake (like Chappies). It had the same 1275cc Twin Carb engine found in the Mini Cooper S and my Midget also had a freeflow exhaust. With the hood down you could really hear it. :)
MG Midgets are great little cars, that steer very well, and very much fit the go-kart cliche. However if you're used to half quick cars then its standard power output will bore you. Not to worry though, because there's heaps of aftermarket support, and with a bit of a hop up there is no car that is more fun!
I'm working on a turbo conversion which should add some spunk to the car. I can't complain about the cornering and braking which are through the roof. Now if I can just add some pep it will be almost perfect!
