Lotus Exige Overview
Here's what Lotus has to say about their cars, "A Lotus will provide a pure and unparalleled driving experience and a platform that will allow you to be fully involved while you build your driving skills." They say it's not a car but a "precision instrument that you will use in your quest for the perfect drive." Wow. Now that's confidence in one's product. And when their product looks like this, how can they not be confident? As the coupe version of the Lotus Elise roadster, the Exige is beautiful and sleek, with everything it needs and nothing it doesn't. The first Exige was built in 2000 with various characteristics that distinguished it from the Elise. It features a rear spoiler, a split intake, and broader arches at the wheels. The Series 2 Exige rolled out in 2004, and then the next year a limited edition supercharged Exige 240R was released; these rare cars came only in Lotus' signature colors, black or yellow. With their 1.8-liter Toyota engine, they are capable of 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds, reaching a maximum of 155 mph. The left-hand drive 2007 Exige S for North America became available in 2006. Now its exotic beauty will be easier for Lotus enthusiasts to get their eager hands on.

The Lotus Exige is widely celebrated by owners for its thrilling driving experience, impressively agile handling, and lightweight design. Many drivers rave about how it feels like a race car, delivering exceptional performance and rapid acceleration, especially on winding roads. However, some critiques include a cramped interior that may not suit larger individuals and a lack of comfort features for daily driving. While it's adored for its fun factor and performance on the track, it is not ideal for those looking for a comfortable, everyday vehicle.

What people say
A true drivers car. No car offers a higher fun factor than the Exige.
Performance - What can I say, it's an amazing car, fast and amazing on corners, it sticks like glue. Build Quality - No repairs needed as yet, although there is an annoying squeak somewhere behind the drivers seat. Appearance - Stunning a real head turner. Inside is basic but all you need in a car built for seriously good road handling. Cost of Ownership - I've heard you can get 30mpg however I've never driven that conservatively!! That's not what you buy this car for! Fun Factor - 100%, leaves you with a smile on your face for hours especially if you take it on the track!
This car offers the most control out of any car I have ever driven. Its extra wide tires and state of the art gyroscopic stability system delivers what was promised by Lotus.
Chrome Orange. Touring Pack. Track Pack. Limited Slip Differential. Starshield Protective Clear Body Film. Accelerates amazingly. Brilliant Build Quality. No repairs needed or any spueaks. Looks beautiful. MPG kinda good. Maintenance costs a little much, but it is WELL worth it. Really fun to drive
This car is not for people who like to be comfy and cosy, there are some things that make this car akward but that little more exciting to own and drive. Getting in and out is a fine art, Ladies- it'll take you time to master being in heels and a skirt. Acceleration is rapid, twin cam Toyota VVTI engine 190 BHP power band - from 800RPM up to 8,400 RMP. 0-60 in under 5 seconds. This car though fast does lack punch in strait lines unless you use the gearbox and engine hard. Cornering is imense, very very little body roll - This is where the car makes up for the lack of strait line speed out cornering most cars with ease. Model has ABS, Manual steering and manual door mirrors Replacing the stock intake with a cold air filter and a stage 1 Exhaust adds torque and throttle response not to mention added engine roar. The touring pack model has padded seats, air con and sound proofing to reduce engine and road noise in the cabin. You can also have the sport pack witch provides seats ready for a racing harness, no carpets or sound proofing - to save weight. Fuel tank gives you 10 Gallons - About 320 miles to a tank (normal driving) easily cut that to more like 100 if tracking the car (or less)
