For an couple or in my case an empty nesters, this is a great vehicle. It is not a race car but it fun to drive and reliable and relatively quick. The back seat is useless so this isn't a family car, but that is not what I am looking for. The fit and finish of the Lexus brand is awesome.

The lack of apple car play is frustrating since the imbedded gps isn’t as user friendly. The performance is sufficient for daily and spirited driving. Fuel economy is sub par. Toyotas reputation for longevity make it a great overall though!

Overview
About the Lexus RC
The RC is a sporty coupe that serves as Lexus’ rival to cars like the Audi A5 and BMW 4 Series. While not a full-on sports car, it blends driving fun with a hint of luxury and, in RC F form, V8 power that makes this Lexus into a Japanese muscle car. Introduced for the 2015 model year, the RC has continued in the market with only minor changes.
What are the advantages of the Lexus RC?
- Multiple powertrain options
- Fun to drive
- One of the last true coupes
What is the best Lexus RC model year?
Aside from a minor refresh for the 2019 model year and the occasional special edition, such as the Track Edition and Fuji Speedway Edition versions of the RC F, there really isn’t much difference between RC model years.
What are the disadvantages of the Lexus RC?
- Potentially polarizing design
- Unintuitive technology
- Cramped back seat
Comparison: Is the Lexus RC better than the Toyota Supra?
At first glance, the RC and Lexus parent brand Toyota’s Supra seem similar. But they’re quite different in character. The RC is larger and more luxurious, while the Supra is small and taut—a pure sports car. The Supra also has a more up-to-date infotainment system, but the RC has rear seats that serve as handy additional storage space.
Is the Lexus RC a reliable car?
While J.D. Power hasn’t published a customer satisfaction score for the RC recently, Lexus models are generally a safer bet when it comes to reliability than vehicles from German rivals like Audi and BMW.
Is the Lexus RC worth the cost?
Other than the Ford Mustang, buyers seeking a sporty coupe with a little added comfort and usability over a traditional sports car must now shop luxury brands. The Lexus RC is much older than rivals like the Audi A5 and BMW 4 Series, and has never been compared favorably to them in terms of handling. So even among that small competitive set, the Lexus is an also-ran.
