Which Kia Optima trim should I buy?
The 2019 Kia Optima offers these trims:
- LX: The entry trim includes the 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Kia’s full suite of driver-assistance and collision-avoidance systems, making it the value-focused starting point.

What Kia Optima do most buyers choose?
The Kia Optima years with the most listings are 2019, 2018, and 2020.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2019 | 1,418 | 30.4% |
| 2018 | 1,125 | 31.3% |

Customers say
Overall, owners of the Kia Optima appreciate the vehicle for its stylish design, comfort, and great fuel efficiency across all model years. Many drivers highlight its smooth ride, reliability, and value for money, often comparing it favorably to competitors like the Toyota Camry. However, some recurring concerns include limited features in lower trims, issues with long-term reliability, and occasional performance drawbacks, such as slow acceleration in specific models. Despite these critiques, the Kia Optima remains a favored choice for drivers seeking a dependable and well-rounded sedan.

This car is an absolute dream! It rides so beautifully and comfortably. The features are crazy…cooling seats too! Love it. It’s in immaculate condition and inside looks almost untouched. I just wish it had a remote start! But I honestly didn’t use it much anyway!
