International Harvester vehicles, especially the Scout, are loved for their ruggedness, off-road capabilities, and vintage charm. Owners appreciate their reliability in various terrains, making them unique classic choices. However, many drivers have raised concerns about fuel efficiency, road handling, and the availability of spare parts. Despite these drawbacks, the brand has a loyal following that enjoys the uniqueness and nostalgia associated with its vehicles.

My Scout could tackle any terrain. I went places people said were impossible. Even took it through a river in Iowa once where the water was around my ankles WHILE DRIVING and it plowed right through. Vinyl seats and rubber floors made it easy to hose out and go again. Scouts are not pretty, but they sure are tough.

IH Scout II is the best off-road vehicle ever. Stock axles are strong enough for mid level wheeling Most came with V8 Aside from the body, a Scout will live forever. Strong frame Highly modifiable The body is extremely rusty. Will impress a crowd.

I love my '73 Scout. I use mainly for Off-Road driving and other than some small problems it runs great. The gas mileage isn't that great but that doesn't bother me. This vehicle was built very well and even thought it's 27 years old it has very little rust. I love driving it and I don't plan on selling it.

This truck does awesome in anything other than pavement, although it does well on paved roads too!
