Customers say

The GMC Sonoma has received mixed reviews from owners across its model years. Many appreciate its reliable performance, capable power, and decent fuel economy, making it suitable for light-duty tasks and off-roading. The truck's handling and rugged design are often highlighted as enjoyable features. However, some drivers found drawbacks in terms of limited rear seating, potential reliability issues, especially related to older models, and underperformance in certain situations. Overall, the Sonoma is loved for its capability and charm, but some improvements in comfort and reliability could enhance the experience.

Solid built little trucks. I have owned on before and they are good trucks.

one of my favorite vehicles i've owned. fun, cheap and throws some dual exhaust, interior, and some wheels and you've got a nice little cruiser. watch the frames on those though because they like to rust and rot. The V6 is really torquey so burnouts are almost unavoidable. I'd put money on this... If it could hook off the line, it would probably do a wheel stand

Reviewed a 2003 GMC SLS Crew Cab 4WD on Jan 28, 2011

Great acceleration with the 4.3L Vortec V-6, and roomy with seating for 5 in a mid sized pick-up. Has had very low cost of ownership in the nearly 3 years I've had it though the gas mpg is low. I constantly get praise for it's appearance and it's nice not looking like every other mid-sized crew cab pick-up.
