The GMC S-15 has earned praise for its reliable 4.3L engine, strong performance, and sporty handling across its model years. Owners appreciate how well it accelerates and steers, making it enjoyable for daily driving and light hauling tasks. However, there are concerns regarding its power in certain situations, as well as issues related to rust in older models. Overall, it's considered a solid choice for those who need a dependable truck for both work and leisure activities.

other than minor problems with old electrical wires this is a great truck to go from home to work and back. It is also a great truck to use for hauling small things or using for fishing, hunting and camping.

With such little body weight, the 4.3 was a very powerful engine in this truck. Handled well at high speeds and could leave a smoke cloud so thick you would have to wear a mask just to breathe in it.

Ok so it's really an 89. I love it. It has the 4.3L V6 and is in really good condition. It hasn't even reached 100,000 miles. So far the braking and steering have exceeded my expectations, the acceleration isn't bad, but I will be getting more out of it with an exhaust system and cold air intake. It is a solid vehicle, it will rock you before you rock it. It has a digital dash and vinyl bucket seats. It has a couple of areas that need some paint, but it is in excellent condition. I love it, it is easy to work on and it is mine, so I love it.
