Used GMC Canyon for Sale nearAlpine, TX

How much does the GMC Canyon cost in today's market?

Used GMC Canyon prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The GMC Canyon's current nationwide average price is $31,773, and its lowest point over the past year was $30,728. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the GMC Canyon a good car?

Yes — the GMC Canyon is a strong used-truck choice if you want a midsize pickup with a more upscale feel, comfortable ride, and solid performance. The all-generations owner rating is 4.3/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the Canyon for its stylish design, comfortable interiors, and strong performance. Across the model years, the truck also earns credit for its luxurious features, easy driving character, and good towing ability.

Expert reviews rate the 2023 and 2021 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs are that some recent versions ask a lot for the money, and the more off-road-focused trims can give up some on-road agility. You also see a recurring theme of fewer configurations in newer years, which can make shopping the lineup feel more limited than some rivals.

34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is best managed by choosing a well-kept example with a clean history and a thorough pre-purchase inspection.

What should I look for when buying a used GMC Canyon?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Pro Safety Package and Safety Plus Package
• Infotainment: 11-inch digital driver display and 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google built-in technology
• Fuel efficiency: Our AT4X’s EPA-rated 17 mpg combined is the same as a full-size GMC Sierra with 4WD and a V8 engine, and we observed 16.4 mpg on our mountainous Southern California test loop during light rain.

Which GMC Canyon trim should I buy?

The 2026 GMC Canyon offers these trims:

• Elevation: The entry trim brings the standard 11-inch digital driver display, 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google built-in technology, and a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine with rear-wheel drive; it suits you if you want the most accessible path into the lineup.
• AT4: This trim adds standard 4WD, a 2-inch lift, and the off-road suspension hardware that gives the Canyon its rugged character, making it the best-value choice if you want capability and everyday usability together.
• Denali: The Denali adds a more luxurious cabin with richer materials and a more premium presentation, making it the pick if you want the Canyon’s upscale side.
• AT4X: The AT4X adds Multimatic DSSV dampers, mud-terrain tires, electronic locking front and rear differentials, hill descent control, 10.7 inches of ground clearance, and underbody cameras, making it the most serious off-road version.

What GMC Canyon do most buyers choose?

The GMC Canyon years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Those higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right trim, mileage, and price. They also sit close enough to the newest generation to deliver the Canyon’s modern tech and upscale feel.

What is the GMC Canyon's resale value?

Most model years are moving lower year over year, which is good news if you are shopping used and want more room to negotiate. The changes are especially pronounced in the newer years, while a few older examples are closer to flat or only slightly down. That mix suggests the Canyon’s pricing is softening broadly, but not evenly across every model year.

The 2017 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2017, 2016, and 2019 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
