Driving a DS is like floating on a flying carpet. The design is still futuristic even though it's over 50 years old. Possibly the most important model in the history of cars. It embodies the spirit of everything french and avant garde. DS means Godess in french - and it's truly the Godess of all cars.

It is one of the best cars I've ever known! 30mpg, shockingly beautiful looks, okay performance, comfortable, and reliable. It was imported from France. My Citroen DS19 will beat the crap out of any other 1968 car. I love it.

This would have to be the best smoothest car to drive. It feels like your floating on air, you cant even feel a rail track when it's driven over.

We used to call this car Dizzy Lizzy, it was the same model as the car that General de Gaulle went around in. It had a funny gear lever and hydropneumatic suspension. The body was two-toned. It had a real leather interior.

Well, about the only thing I know how to operate on this car is the ignition & the raising & lowering of the suspension. This is a 1972 Citroen DS21 Pallas I bought from an old Vietnamese guy who stood tall at 5'3". Initially, he wanted to trade an old 1974 Cadillac Coupe DeVille I owned, but realized, it was entirely too big for his 4'11" wife. LOL. After decyphering 75% of what he was telling me, My Dad drove this car home, because I have no idea how to operate the steering column mounted 4 speed transmissioin stick. Since I purchased the car, I took the entire engine & transmission apart & have been scratching my head wondering why....
