The acceleration of this car is nothing spectacular, but it did feel powerful and wouldn't ever bog down due to the large V8 under the hood. This car is big so handling isn't great, but has a smooth ride. Since this car is very heavy braking is nothing to brag about either, but as long as the brakes are well maintained, they will get the job done. The quality of this car is great. The engine is very sturdy and never misses a beat. The transmission is also very reliable. No major repairs were needed to keep this vehicle running. The gas mileage was on average 17-23 mpg which is what you'd expect from a vehicle of this size with a V8. This vehicle is a blast to drive. You feel in command of the road. This car has lots of room inside for all your friends. If you can find this car in good condition with little rust and in good running order, I would definitely recommend this vehicle.

I owned a 1987 Chrysler 5th Ave for 14 years and to this day I consider it the best automobile I have owned. Roomy, smooth ride, excellent engine. Car is very quiet and comfortable on an all day drive. This car is in extremely good condition, has no rust and is ready to give you many years of good service.

I purchased this car ("Snow White") in April 2009 with 35,000 original miles on it, from the second owner. It is an original Portland car. All accessories work on this car, includiing the factory sunroof (put in for Chrysler by American Sunroof Corp prior to original purchase). It is white with a white vinyl roof over the back 1/3 of the roof, and has plush red velour interior (I call it my Reno Red Bordello interior). It is a very comfortable, floater of a car to drive, with great power(V-8). I have driven to Reno, San Francisco, Boise, Idaho (where I kept it at about 80-90mph for several hours, without any problems) and Salt Lake City, Utah this past Memorial Day weekend with 5 of us and our luggage!

This car was built for style and made to last. Just rebuilt the carburetor, but still have some minor tuning to do. The 318 is sturdy and runs like a Singer Sewing machine, and the leather looks like new.New tires all the way around, original wheel covers. Sleek and sexy!
