Chevrolet's economy subcompact Aveo hit the U.S. market in 2004. Available in sedan and hatchback versions, the Aveo was based on the Daewoo Kalos and marketed as an inexpensive non-gas-guzzler.

A great starter car, or city car. Cute!

I've never had any engine trouble with this car, it's always gotten great gas mileage, handles well, inexpensive to maintain, great turning radius. I've only had an issue with headlight bulbs burning out more often than I think is normal.

My daughter learned to drive in this car. Very user friendly and safe. Easy to service carries the great Chevrolet name. Parts and service are always nearby and at a reasonable cost. Can't think of a better car for the kids.
