Should I buy a used Cadillac CT4 now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −7.7% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −0.8%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 34.1% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 33.2%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $31,977. The Cadillac CT4 offers a distinctive rear-wheel-drive sport-sedan character with assertive styling and a broad performance range.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Cadillac employs a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as the standard power plant for the new CT4. It whips up 237 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque between 1,500 rpm and 4,000 rpm, which is plenty to motivate the test car’s 3,455-pound curb weight.
• Tech: It has an 8.0-inch touchscreen display with high-resolution graphics, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Cadillac Connected Services through OnStar.
• Safety: If you want forward-collision warning or low-speed automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, you must upgrade to Premium Luxury, Sport, or V-Series trim.
• Starting price: Prices start at a remarkably low $32,995.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
