What should I look for when buying a used Audi A3?

Across all model years, at 74.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2022 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Audi Pre Sense Front, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, a vehicle exit warning system, and Audi Side Assist blind-spot monitoring.
• Infotainment: a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA-rated at 28 mpg combined.

Which Audi A3 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi A3 offers these trims:

• Premium: the entry trim with the A3’s core luxury-car character, standard Quattro all-wheel drive, and the basic driver-assistance suite.
• Premium Plus: the best-value trim for shoppers who want the most meaningful upgrades, including Adaptive Cruise Assist, lane-keeping and lane-centering support, hands-on detection, the Sonos premium sound system, SiriusXM 360L, and the larger Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus display.

What Audi A3 do most buyers choose?

The Audi A3 years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Higher-volume years usually give you more choices, which can make it easier to compare trims, colors, and prices. They also tend to be the years shoppers focus on most, so you often see stronger deal activity in those model years.

What is the Audi A3's resale value?

Most Audi A3 model years are down year over year, which is good news if you want to buy used. The declines are especially pronounced in several recent and mid-cycle years, while one model year is still edging upward. Overall, the table points to broad softening rather than stable pricing.

The 2023, 2018, and 2019 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
