New & Used 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC for Sale nearBakersfield, CA

Is the 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC a good car?

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC earns a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

It’s a strong choice if you want a compact luxury SUV that feels more special than most rivals, with a high-quality cabin, diverse powertrain options, and an especially appealing AMG GLC 53. The GLC 53’s twin-turbo inline-six and chassis upgrades make it the most exciting version in the lineup, while the rest of the range still delivers the upscale character and polished interior that help define the model.

The trade-offs are clear: it’s more expensive than rivals, it isn’t the most practical option, and some touch controls are annoying. Even so, the combination of interior quality, technology, and driving feel gives it a distinctive appeal.

The market is moderately favorable, with 35.9% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC is presented as a polished, well-built luxury SUV with a high-quality cabin and a powertrain lineup that ranges from efficient to genuinely engaging. The GLC 53’s twin-turbo inline-six and mild-hybrid setup are described as smooth, responsive, and surprisingly refined, while the GLC 300 is said to feel quick and smooth in normal driving.

The model’s dependability story is also helped by the fact that its standard driver-assistance systems are broad and its controls and chassis tuning are mature enough to feel well sorted. The available maintenance perk language is not included here.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its premium complexity and high-end hardware can make repairs and upkeep more expensive than you’d expect from a mainstream SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific car’s equipment matches the listing, especially on higher-trim or option-heavy examples. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing because the GLC’s appeal depends heavily on condition, feature content, and how well the tech and controls work. Pay close attention to interior wear, touchscreen behavior, and whether the driver-assistance systems operate the way you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GLC’s look and feel vary by trim and options, with different interior materials, wheel designs, and exterior details changing the character of the vehicle. The AMG GLC 53 adds a more athletic appearance with unique grille treatment, diffuser-style rear detailing, and four round tailpipes, while the base model is less dramatic.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four in the GLC 300, a plug-in hybrid GLC 350e with 313 hp and an estimated 54 miles of electric range, and the AMG GLC 53’s 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with an electric supercharger and mild-hybrid system making 443 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitors, adaptive cruise control, a driver-attention monitor, and a surround-view camera system. Lane-centering steering assist and lane-keep assist are part of the Driver Assistance package, along with steering intervention for blind-spot monitoring, evasive steering assist, a speed-limit display, and automated cruise-speed changes based on speed-limit signs.
• Infotainment: The portrait-oriented touchscreen offers different home-screen layouts, a shortcut for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and a “zero layer” interface that keeps the map visible with expandable tiles. The available Burmester 3D Surround Sound System, navigation, integrated entertainment apps, head-up display, noise-insulating glass, and 64-color ambient lighting are part of the Pinnacle package.
• Fuel efficiency: The GLC 300 is rated at 27 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive and 26 mpg combined with 4Matic AWD. The GLC 350e can travel an estimated 54 miles on electric power alone. The AMG GLC 53 is rated at 22 mpg combined and returned 29.8 mpg on the highway in testing.

Which 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC trim should I buy?

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC is offered in 3 trim levels: GLC 300, GLC 350e, AMG GLC 53.

Here's the short version:

• GLC 300: This is the most common choice and the entry point to the lineup. It gives you the core GLC experience with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four, smooth everyday performance, and the model’s upscale cabin and tech. It’s the best fit if you want the Mercedes look and feel without paying for the AMG upgrade.
• GLC 350e: This is the plug-in hybrid choice, and it’s the one to consider if you want the most electrified version of the GLC lineup. Its estimated 54-mile electric range makes it the efficiency-focused pick, while standard AWD adds all-weather confidence.
• AMG GLC 53: This is the enthusiast pick and the most exciting version in the lineup. Its inline-six, electric supercharger, and chassis enhancements make it far more engaging than the standard models, and it’s the one to buy if driving enjoyment matters most. It’s also the most expensive choice, so it makes the most sense if you value performance and character over value.

Lane-centering steering assist and lane-keep assist are part of the Driver Assistance package, not standard equipment.

Is the 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC safe?

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC’s safety ratings from IIHS and NHTSA were not available at the time of writing. However, the similar 2026 GLC earned a Top Safety Pick from IIHS, one step below the highest Top Safety Pick+ rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitors, adaptive cruise control, a driver-attention monitor, and a surround-view camera system. Lane-centering steering assist and lane-keep assist are bundled into the Driver Assistance package, which also adds steering intervention for blind-spot monitoring, evasive steering assist, a speed-limit display in the instrument panel, and automated adaptive cruise control speed changes based on speed-limit signs.

One caveat is that lane-centering assist was described as inconsistent, especially around corners, and the speed-limit-sign features could be annoying in daily use.

Should I buy a 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2027 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2027 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The AMG GLC 53 replaces the previous pair of four-cylinder-powered AMG models, and its twin-turbo inline-six plus chassis enhancements make it the most engaging version in the lineup.

The bottom line: Choose the 2027 if you want the GLC at its most distinctive, especially in AMG GLC 53 form, because this year’s lineup emphasizes character, luxury, and driving enjoyment. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2027’s strongest appeal is how well it blends upscale cabin quality with a more memorable driving experience.
