New & Used 2027 Kia Telluride for Sale nearMinneapolis, MN

Is the 2027 Kia Telluride a good car?

The 2027 Kia Telluride earns a 7.2/10 expert rating, and it stands out for its stylish design, impressive technology, and great safety ratings. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10. It’s a redesigned second-generation midsize three-row SUV that’s easy to like despite its flaws, and Kia gives you a turbocharged gas powertrain, a turbocharged hybrid option, and a wide range of trim levels. The trade-offs are that power delivery can feel uneven and the driver’s seat is uncomfortable. Even so, it remains a compelling choice if you want a well-equipped three-row SUV with broad appeal and a strong mix of style, technology, and safety. Good and great deals account for 43.9% of listings, which suggests there’s meaningful market availability.

Is the 2027 Kia Telluride reliable?

The 2027 Kia Telluride is presented as a competitive, well-equipped SUV with an outstanding warranty and strong value-retention expectations. Its standard turbocharged engine is not very fuel-efficient, but the overall package is positioned as durable enough for long-term ownership if you stay on top of maintenance and buy a clean example. The performance notes point to a turbocharged four-cylinder that stays energetic at elevation thanks to forced induction, though it also shows significant turbo lag and some unpleasant engine noise under load. Kia does not include some of the ownership perks you may see elsewhere, such as complimentary scheduled maintenance or lifetime connected-services access. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a poorly maintained example could leave you living with the model’s rougher powertrain behavior and higher operating costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Kia Telluride?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage or heavily optioned example. Focus on overall condition, because the Telluride’s equipment spread is wide and trim-specific features can make two similarly priced listings very different in value. Pay close attention to how the powertrain, cabin materials, and driver-assistance features are functioning during a test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Five core trim levels are available for the non-hybrid model: LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige. The X-Line appearance treatment is available on all but the LX and S, while the X-Pro upgrade is reserved for the SX and SX Prestige. The base trims are the ones most likely to leave you without the more upscale visual and equipment touches found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 274 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is available, and all-wheel drive is offered on most trims, while the X-Pro versions add a lifted suspension and off-road-oriented hardware.
• Safety package: Every trim includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control with speed-limit assist, junction turning detection, safe-exit assist, and rear occupant detection. The SX adds active blind-spot monitors, front cross-traffic alert, evasive steering assist, oncoming vehicle collision avoidance, a surround-view camera system, blind-spot cameras, lane-change assist for Highway Driving Assist, and side parking sensors.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 5-inch climate touchscreen, and a configurable 4.2-inch driver display. Starting with the SX, the digital instrumentation becomes fully configurable with a 12.3-inch display, and all three SX Prestige models add a 12-inch head-up display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Kia Connect, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, dual wireless charging pads, USB-C ports in all three rows, and a Passenger Talk intercom feature.
• Fuel efficiency: The X-Pro returns 17 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined. Other AWD Tellurides are rated at 18 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined. The hybrid is rated at 31 mpg combined.

Which 2027 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2027 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Telluride’s core space, safety, and tech without paying for extra appearance or luxury upgrades. It’s the least expensive path into the lineup, but it also misses out on the more distinctive styling and richer equipment found higher up.
• S: This is the best-value trim if you want a more appealing look and a stronger feature mix without jumping too far up the price ladder. It adds more visual polish than the LX, and the lineup notes suggest it’s one of the trims that benefits from more wheel-finish variety than the base model.
• EX: This is the sensible middle choice if you want a more upscale feel and broader equipment coverage than the lower trims. It sits in the sweet spot for shoppers who want more comfort and convenience without moving into the pricier tech-heavy versions.
• SX: This is the trim to target if you want the richer tech and safety content, including the fully configurable 12.3-inch driver display and the expanded driver-assistance suite. It’s also the starting point for the 14-speaker Meridian sound system and the trim where the Telluride’s advanced safety and convenience features become much more prominent.
• SX Prestige: This is the top luxury-leaning choice if you want the most complete version of the Telluride’s cabin and tech experience. It adds the 12-inch head-up display and pairs especially well with the most advanced safety and parking features, making it the trim for buyers who want the fullest feature set.

The X-Pro safety and off-road hardware is reserved for the SX and SX Prestige, so those trims are the ones to consider if you want the most capability-focused setup.

Should I buy a 2027 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2027 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 43.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The 2027 Telluride is a redesigned second-generation model with a more advanced cabin, strong safety tech, and a broad trim lineup, but our experts still found themselves missing the previous generation more often than expected.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Telluride with the most advanced technology and safety content, the 2027 is the right direction to go. If you’re more price-sensitive, a low-mileage previous-generation Telluride may still be worth a look, especially if you value a simpler driving experience and want to spend less.
