New & Used 2027 Kia Seltos for Sale nearOcala, FL

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2027 Kia Seltos earns an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

That lines up with what you get in the redesigned Seltos: a roomy interior and cargo area, advanced infotainment, and safety tech that make it feel more substantial than its predecessor. It is especially appealing if you value style, space, and technology in a small SUV.

The trade-offs are real, though. The standard engine is sluggish, and the ride can feel soft and springy at times.

Even with those compromises, the market signal is still healthy, with 39.2% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2027 Kia Seltos is presented as a new redesign with a generous warranty package, including a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, a five-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, and five-year/60,000-mile roadside assistance coverage. The expert assessment also describes the Seltos as a strong value proposition thanks to its cabin space, technology, and overall substance.

On the durability side, the powertrain is described as adequate for typical small-SUV use, but not especially strong, and the upcoming hybrid is framed as the more appealing long-term answer for buyers who want better efficiency and a more satisfying driving experience. For used buyers, that means the main long-term ownership risk is living with a powertrain that may feel underwhelming if you expect brisk acceleration or frequent highway passing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Kia Seltos?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, how the transmission behaves in normal driving, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you are shopping.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX trim lacks blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while the S trim is the recommended upgrade because it adds a safe-exit warning system. Higher trims add more equipment, and the X-Line SX can be paired with the Prestige Package for more premium features.
• Powertrain: Most trims use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a CVT, and the standard setup is described as slow when merging, passing, or climbing hills. The X-Line SX uses a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic and torque-vectoring AWD.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking with intersection turning assist, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control. Highway Driving Assist is available with the Prestige Package on the X-Line SX, and that package also adds a camera-based blind-spot monitor, surround-view camera system, additional side parking sensors, and rear automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The standard infotainment touchscreen is 12.3 inches, and the system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Kia Connect connected services. The panoramic display setup also includes a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel and a 5-inch climate control panel on the test vehicle.
• Fuel efficiency: The X-Line SX is rated at 26 mpg in combined city and highway driving.

Which 2027 Kia Seltos trim should I buy?

The 2027 Kia Seltos is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, X-Line S, and X-Line SX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it is the least appealing choice because it lacks blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. It makes sense only if you are chasing the lowest price and are willing to give up some key safety equipment.
• S: This is the best-value trim because it adds the safe-exit warning system and addresses the biggest safety gap in the base model. If you want the smartest balance of equipment and price, this is the one to target.
• EX: This trim builds on the lower models with more comfort and convenience, and it is a better fit if you want a more upscale-feeling daily driver without jumping to the top end.
• X-Line S: This trim adds standard AWD, which is a meaningful upgrade if you want extra traction and a more rugged setup. It is the right pick if AWD matters more to you than keeping the price down.
• X-Line SX: This is the most powerful and most feature-rich version, with the turbocharged engine and the option for the Prestige Package. It is the best choice if you want the strongest performance and the most advanced tech, but it is also the priciest path.

The safety-package note is simple: the base LX misses blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, so the S trim is the one to buy if safety equipment matters to you.

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos safe?

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Seltos comes standard with forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking with intersection turning assist, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control. Kia’s Highway Driving Assist is available with the Prestige Package on the X-Line SX, and that package also adds a camera-based blind-spot monitor, surround-view camera system, additional side parking sensors, and rear automatic braking.

The main caveat is that the base LX trim does not get blind-spot monitoring or rear cross-traffic alert, so you should plan on stepping up to the S trim or higher if those features matter to you.

Should I buy a 2027 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2027 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2027 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The redesigned model brings a roomier cabin, stronger tech, and a more substantial feel than before.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest Seltos with the best mix of style, space, and technology, the 2027 is the one to focus on. If you are more price-sensitive, you may find better value by shopping older examples, but you will be giving up some of the redesign’s appeal.
