Is the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica a good car?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica earns a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

It remains a practical and powerful family minivan, and the data points to two major reasons you’d consider it: Stow ’n Go seating for cargo flexibility and the segment’s only V6-plus-all-wheel-drive combination. That makes it a strong fit if you want minivan utility without giving up capability.

The trade-offs are clear, though. The new front-end styling is polarizing, and the tech feels outdated for a 2027 model year. Real-world fuel economy also trails EPA estimates, so efficiency is not its strong suit.

With 36.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica reliable?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica is presented as a familiar, carryover-style family hauler with a fresh face rather than a major mechanical overhaul, which generally points to a lower-risk update than a full redesign. Its 3.6-liter V6 and nine-speed automatic are established pieces, and the model’s core packaging remains centered on practicality rather than complexity.

The performance content also suggests a straightforward powertrain setup, with front-wheel drive standard and all-wheel drive available on most trims. That simplicity can be a plus for long-term ownership compared with more complicated alternatives.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that you’ll still be living with a minivan whose fuel economy and refinement are not class-leading, so your satisfaction will depend more on whether you value its versatility and capability than on low running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Chrysler Pacifica?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re shopping for a higher-mileage example or a vehicle with optional safety equipment. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX keeps the older logo, a more reserved fascia, and simpler headlights, while trims above it get the new lit-up logo and sharper lighting signature. If styling matters to you, the base trim is the cleaner-looking choice; if you want the updated face, you’ll need to move up.
• Powertrain: The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 makes 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available on every trim except the base LX.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes full-speed forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, ParkSense rear park-assist with stop, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic alert. The optional Enhanced Safety Sphere Package adds a turn-signal-activated blind-spot camera and a ParkSense-activated front camera, and it is standard on Pinnacle.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto. The system is standard across the lineup, and the built-in navigation is not a strong reason to choose it.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD V6 is rated at 19 city, 28 highway, and 22 combined mpg, while AWD drops to 17 city, 25 highway, and 20 combined mpg. Real-world testing returned 15.5 mpg on mountain roads and 24 mpg over 1,800 miles of mostly highway driving.

Which 2027 Chrysler Pacifica trim should I buy?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Select, Limited, Pinnacle.

Here’s the short version:

• LX: This is the value entry point if you want the Pacifica’s basic packaging at the lowest price, but it skips the updated front-end styling and cannot be paired with all-wheel drive. It makes the most sense if you care more about the minivan’s core utility than its newer appearance or available traction.
• Select: This is the best-value trim for most buyers because it unlocks the reworked front-end styling and makes all-wheel drive available. If you want the Pacifica’s signature capability without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the trim to start with.
• Limited: This is the trim to target if you want a more upscale daily driver, since ventilated seats join the equipment list here and the available safety package can be added. It suits you best if comfort and convenience matter more than keeping the purchase price down.
• Pinnacle: This is the top trim for buyers who want the most fully equipped Pacifica, and it includes the Enhanced Safety Sphere Package as standard. Choose it if you want the most content and don’t mind paying for it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2027 Chrysler Pacifica?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,072 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 90.2% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica safe?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA. In IIHS testing, it earned a Good rating in the small-overlap front test and an Acceptable rating in the updated side crash test, but only a Marginal in the updated moderate-overlap front test.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard equipment across every trim includes full-speed forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, ParkSense rear park-assist with stop, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic alert. The optional Enhanced Safety Sphere Package adds a turn-signal-activated blind-spot camera and a ParkSense-activated front camera, and it is standard on Pinnacle.

The main caveat is the Marginal IIHS result in the updated moderate-overlap front test, which keeps it from a Top Safety Pick designation.

Should I buy a 2027 Chrysler Pacifica or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2027 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Chrysler’s biggest changes for 2027 are the discontinuation of the Pacifica PHEV and the addition of a new LX trim that replaces the formerly fleet-focused Voyager model.

The bottom line:

If you want the Pacifica’s latest styling update and the same core strengths as before, the 2027 is the one to shop. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, especially if you’re focused on value over the newest face and trim reshuffle.
