Is the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica a good car?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica earns a 6.8/10 expert rating, and the standout strength is Form and function at 9/10. It remains a practical family minivan with Stow ’n Go seating, which gives you unmatched cargo flexibility, and it still stands out for offering V6 power and available all-wheel drive in a segment where that combination is unique. The third row also brings good legroom, which helps the Pacifica fit real family duty better than many rivals.

The trade-offs are familiar: the new front-end styling is polarizing, real-world fuel economy trails EPA estimates, and the tech feels outdated. If you want a minivan that prioritizes versatility and confident power over the latest cabin tech or maximum efficiency, this one still makes a strong case for itself.

The market looks reasonably supportive, with 39.5% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica reliable?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica is presented as a familiar, carryover-style family hauler rather than a major mechanical rethink, which helps keep its ownership story straightforward. Its V6 powertrain is described as strong for the segment, and the available all-wheel drive adds practical traction without changing the Pacifica’s core mission as a versatile minivan.

The performance notes also point to a conventional setup with a nine-speed automatic and no CVT, which is a plus if you prefer a more traditional driveline feel. Chrysler also includes useful maintenance-friendly touches in the ownership experience, including standard heated seats and available ventilated seats, though those are comfort features rather than durability fixes.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Pacifica’s appeal depends heavily on whether you can live with its fuel economy and refinement compromises over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Chrysler Pacifica?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper report. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and driver-assistance features, since the Pacifica’s tech is a known weak point and you want to confirm everything works as expected. It also makes sense to focus on overall condition and trim-specific equipment, especially if you want the available safety and convenience upgrades.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX keeps the older logo, a more reserved fascia, and simpler headlights, while higher trims add the new lit-up logo and sharper lighting signature. The base trim also skips the more upscale visual hardware, so if styling matters to you, you’ll want to compare it carefully against the higher trims.
• Powertrain: The Pacifica uses a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available on every trim except the base LX.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes full-speed forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, ParkSense rear park-assist with stop, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic alert. The optional Enhanced Safety Sphere Package adds a turn-signal-activated blind-spot camera and a ParkSense-activated front camera, and it is standard on Pinnacle.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system also includes over-the-air capability through Uconnect 5.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD V6 is rated at 19 city, 28 highway, and 22 combined mpg, while AWD drops to 17 city, 25 highway, and 20 combined mpg. Real-world testing returned 15.5 mpg on mountain roads and 24 mpg over 1,800 miles of mostly highway driving.

Which 2027 Chrysler Pacifica trim should I buy?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Select, Limited, and Pinnacle.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it keeps the cleaner, simpler exterior look while skipping the more dramatic lighting treatment. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and do not need all-wheel drive.
• Select: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it unlocks the reworked front-end styling and makes all-wheel drive available for an additional cost. If you want the Pacifica’s core strengths without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the one to target.
• Limited: This trim adds ventilated seats and sits in the middle of the lineup, making it a good fit if you want more comfort and a more upscale feel without going all the way to the top.
• Pinnacle: This is the range-topper, and it is the trim to choose if you want the most fully equipped Pacifica experience. It also includes the Enhanced Safety Sphere Package as standard.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that the Enhanced Safety Sphere Package is available on Select and Limited, and standard on Pinnacle.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2027 Chrysler Pacifica?

This looks like a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush into the first decent listing you see.

• Deal availability: 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,147 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 89.1% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica safe?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, and IIHS testing found a Good result in the small-overlap front test, an Acceptable result in the updated side crash test, and a Marginal result in the updated moderate-overlap front test.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment across every trim includes full-speed forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, ParkSense rear park-assist with stop, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic alert. The optional Enhanced Safety Sphere Package adds a turn-signal-activated blind-spot camera and a ParkSense-activated front camera, and it is standard on Pinnacle.

The main caveat is the Marginal IIHS result in the updated moderate-overlap front test, which kept the Pacifica from earning a Top Safety Pick designation.

Should I buy a 2027 Chrysler Pacifica or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2027 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2027 if:

• 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Chrysler’s biggest changes for 2027 are the discontinuation of the Pacifica PHEV and the addition of a new LX trim level that replaces the formerly fleet-focused Voyager model.

The bottom line: If you want the latest version of the Pacifica’s familiar formula, the 2027 model is the one to shop, especially if you value Stow ’n Go seating, V6 power, and available all-wheel drive. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2027 gives you the updated trim structure and the same core family-friendly strengths.
