New & Used 2026 Toyota Camry for Sale near La Madera, NM

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and our experts give it 7.83/10. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

The 2026 Toyota Camry is built around practicality, with an emphasis on affordability, efficiency, and safety. It remains one of the few midsize sedans still sold in the United States, and it comes in five trim levels with a standard hybrid powertrain across the lineup. Toyota also kept changes modest for 2026, adding a sporty Nightshade Edition trim level and a paint color called Dark Cosmos.

That straightforward formula gives the Camry broad appeal for buyers who want a dependable daily driver rather than something flashy. It is described as cheap to own, safe, comfortable, and good to drive, while also offering fuel efficiency and easy-to-use technology. The tradeoffs are familiar ones: the styling is uninspired, cargo space is limited, and the stereo is lacking, so the Camry’s strengths are more about sensible ownership than standout excitement.

Good and great deals account for 39.7% of listings, which suggests there’s still meaningful shopping room.

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Camry is presented as cheap to own and dependable, with the overview emphasizing reliability, safety, and practical daily-driver appeal. Our experts also describe it as a straightforward, sensible choice rather than something that relies on novelty or complexity to win you over.

Its hybrid setup is described as tried-and-true, and the performance notes point to a robust electric motor and a powertrain that feels stronger than its output number suggests. The cost-effectiveness notes also highlight a complimentary maintenance package that lasts twice as long as the Accord’s.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical drama and more about living with the Camry’s modest cabin and cargo compromises over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Toyota Camry?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any Camry you’re considering, even with a strong accident-free share in the market. Prioritize a close inspection of the body, interior wear, and any signs of prior repair, then make sure the car’s condition matches the trim and equipment it’s supposed to have.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE, SE, Nightshade Edition, XLE, and XSE trims differ in appearance and equipment. The Nightshade Edition stands out with satin black 19-inch wheels and gloss-black exterior detailing, while the SE and Nightshade Edition mirror each other closely inside, and the XLE and XSE add features such as a touch-sensing steering wheel.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a hybrid system that pairs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with electric motors. Front-wheel-drive models make 225 horsepower, while all-wheel-drive versions add a rear motor and increase output to 232 hp.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, road-sign assist, and high-beam assist. Blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe-exit warning are also standard.
• Infotainment: More affordable models use an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 12.3-inch touchscreen is available, and Drive Connect adds cloud-based navigation, destination assistance, and an Intelligent Assistant voice system.
• Fuel efficiency: Combined fuel economy ranges from 43 mpg to 51 mpg, depending on trim and drivetrain. The FWD Nightshade test car was rated at 46 mpg and averaged 44.5 mpg on our 30-mile loop.

Which 2026 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2026 Toyota Camry is offered in 5 trim levels: LE, SE, Nightshade Edition, XLE, and XSE.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the most affordable path into the Camry lineup, and it still gives you the standard hybrid powertrain, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, and the 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• SE: This trim adds a sport-tuned suspension and a more aggressive look, making it a good fit if you want a little more attitude without moving too far up the price ladder.
• Nightshade Edition: This is the best-value pick if you want the most distinctive styling. It adds satin black 19-inch wheels, gloss-black exterior detailing, and a black interior, while keeping the Camry’s core strengths intact.
• XLE: This is the more comfort-oriented choice, and it also gets the touch-sensing steering wheel mentioned in the safety notes.
• XSE: This is the most upscale and sporty-feeling trim in the lineup, combining the sport-tuned suspension with the higher-end equipment you’d expect at the top of the range.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across the lineup, so even the lower trims get a strong safety foundation.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on every 2026 Camry and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, road-sign assist, and high-beam assist. Blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe-exit warning are also standard.

Predictive Driving Assist is also part of the package, and Toyota’s connected safety services include automatic collision notification, emergency assistance, roadside assistance access, and a stolen vehicle locator.

One trim-level caveat is that the Nightshade Edition does not have a touch-sensing steering wheel, which is available on XLE and XSE models.

Should I buy a 2026 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Toyota kept changes modest and added the Nightshade Edition trim level and Dark Cosmos paint.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It introduced the Camry’s hybrid-only redesign and brought a new look, new features, and strong value.

The bottom line: The 2026 Camry is the better pick if you want the latest version of Toyota’s practical, efficient formula with modest updates and strong safety credentials. If you’re shopping mainly on price, the 2025 can still make sense because it delivers the core hybrid Camry experience and may be easier to find at a lower asking price.
