New & Used 2026 Toyota Camry for Sale nearForsyth, IL

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and our experts give it 7.83/10. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

The 2026 Toyota Camry is built around practicality, with an emphasis on affordability, efficiency, and safety. It is available in five trim levels, and every one comes with a standard hybrid powertrain. As one of the few remaining midsize sedans for sale in the United States, it stands out for you if you still want a traditional sedan shape with low running costs and a reputation for dependability.

The trade-offs are familiar ones: the styling is uninspired, cargo space is limited, and the stereo is lacking.

With 37.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, there’s still meaningful market availability if you want to shop carefully.

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2026 Camry is described as cheap to own and known for its dependability, and Toyota’s hybrid setup is presented as a tried-and-true system rather than a risky new experiment.

Its standard hybrid powertrain and practical focus support that reputation, and Toyota also highlights a complimentary maintenance package that lasts twice as long as the Accord’s. The Camry’s long-term ownership risk for used buyers looks manageable, especially if you prioritize a clean history and routine maintenance records.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Toyota Camry?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a strong accident-free share does not guarantee the specific car you’re considering has a clean past. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on hybrid-system operation, tire wear, brake feel, and any signs of uneven use or neglected maintenance. You should also pay close attention to trim-specific equipment, since some convenience and tech features vary by version.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Camry comes in LE, SE, Nightshade Edition, XLE, and XSE trim levels. The Nightshade Edition adds trendy blacked-out styling and 19-inch wheels, while the more affordable models use an 8-inch touchscreen and a six-speaker audio system.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a hybrid setup with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and electric motors. Front-wheel-drive models make 225 horsepower, while all-wheel-drive versions make 232 hp.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, road-sign assist, and high-beam assist. Blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe-exit warning are also standard.
• Infotainment: More affordable trims get an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 12.3-inch touchscreen is available, and Drive Connect adds cloud-based navigation, destination assistance, and an Intelligent Assistant voice system.
• Fuel efficiency: Combined fuel economy ranges from 43 mpg to 51 mpg, depending on trim and drivetrain. The test car returned 46 mpg on its EPA rating and averaged 44.5 mpg on a 30-mile mixed-driving loop.

Which 2026 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2026 Toyota Camry is offered in 5 trim levels: LE, SE, Nightshade Edition, XLE, and XSE.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the most straightforward way into the lineup, and it gives you the Camry’s standard hybrid powertrain, strong efficiency, and full safety suite without paying for extra appearance or convenience upgrades.
• SE: This trim adds a sportier edge, including the sport-tuned suspension, so it suits you if you want a little more road feel without moving up to the pricier trims.
• Nightshade Edition: This is the best-value style pick if you want the Camry’s blacked-out look, 19-inch wheels, and a more distinctive appearance. It also keeps the sport-tuned suspension and the standard hybrid setup.
• XLE: This is the comfort-leaning choice, and it’s the trim to consider if you want more upscale equipment and access to features like the touch-sensing steering wheel.
• XSE: This is the most premium-feeling sport trim, combining the sport-tuned suspension with the higher-end equipment set.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across the lineup, and the touch-sensing steering wheel is available on XLE and XSE models.

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry safe?

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on every 2026 Camry and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, road-sign assist, and high-beam assist. Blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe-exit warning are also standard.

Predictive Driving Assist is also part of the package, and Toyota says it can help monitor following distances and avoid obstacles even when adaptive cruise control is not in use. The Camry Nightshade Edition does not have a touch-sensing steering wheel, which means that feature is reserved for XLE and XSE models.

Should I buy a 2026 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a sporty Nightshade Edition trim level and a Dark Cosmos paint color.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It launched the Camry’s new generation with fresh styling, new features, and a new hybrid powertrain.

The bottom line: If you want the most current used Camry with the latest trim additions and strong market availability, the 2026 is the better default choice. If you’re shopping primarily on price, the 2025 can still make sense because it delivers the core Camry formula with the same practical strengths and may cost less on the used market.
