New & Used 2026 Toyota C-HR for Sale nearRaleigh, NC

Is the 2026 Toyota C-HR a good car?

The 2026 Toyota C-HR earns an expert rating of 7/10. The standout strength is Performance at 8/10.

It’s a fully electric compact crossover that leans into personality over practicality, and that framing matters if you’re shopping for an EV that’s meant to be enjoyable rather than purely useful. The C-HR’s 338 horsepower and standard all-wheel drive give it a lively character, while its compact-coupe styling and sporty tuning make it feel more entertaining than many rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: the back seat is cramped, cargo room is limited, and the charging setup is only mid-pack. Even so, it lands as a good-value EV for you if driving enjoyment matters more than maximum space.

Good and great deals account for 39.5% of listings, which suggests decent market availability.

Is the 2026 Toyota C-HR reliable?

The 2026 Toyota C-HR is presented as a straightforward electric crossover with standard all-wheel drive and a conventional battery-and-motor setup, which supports a simple ownership experience. Toyota also includes routine maintenance coverage for the first two years or 25,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

The performance setup is described as smooth and immediate, with no hesitation on acceleration, and the battery/charging system is framed as adequate rather than complicated. Toyota’s warranty coverage is competitive, with an eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical complexity and more about whether the battery, charging behavior, and overall condition have been maintained well over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Toyota C-HR?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with charging-related concerns. Focus on overall condition, battery health, and whether the car has been used mostly for home charging or frequent DC fast charging.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE and XSE differ in appearance and equipment. The XSE adds 20-inch wheels, while the SE rides on 18-inch wheels. The cabin materials are upscale for the class, but the base trim misses some of the higher-end convenience and camera features found on the XSE.
• Powertrain: The C-HR uses a dual-motor AWD setup with 338 hp. The front motor produces 167 kilowatts and 198 pound-feet of torque, while the rear motor contributes 87 kW and 125 lb-ft. It’s quick and smooth, with Toyota estimating 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard and includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane-departure and lane-keep assists, automatic high-beam headlights, road sign recognition, blind-spot monitors with rear cross-traffic alert, safe exit assist, and eight airbags. The XSE adds a surround-view monitor camera system, traffic jam assist, and lane-change assist.
• Infotainment: Every C-HR gets a 14-inch touchscreen, a fully digital driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OTA updates, and a cloud-based navigation system with Google POI data. The available JBL audio system is a worthwhile upgrade if you want better sound.
• Range & charging: The SE is estimated at 287 miles of range, while the XSE is estimated at 273 miles. The battery is 74.7 kWh, DC fast charging peaks at 150 kW, and Toyota says a 10% to 80% charge can take about 30 minutes under ideal conditions. Home charging is handled by an 11-kW onboard charger, with a full charge in roughly 7.5 hours.
• Battery health: Check the battery state of health, ask how often the car has been DC fast charged, and confirm whether it has mostly lived on Level 2 home charging. Also verify how much of the battery warranty remains, since that coverage can matter a lot on a used EV.

Which 2026 Toyota C-HR trim should I buy?

The 2026 Toyota C-HR is offered in 2 trim levels: SE and XSE.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the best-value choice if you want the C-HR’s core appeal at the lowest price. You still get the dual-motor AWD powertrain, the 14-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, and the full EV personality that makes the C-HR interesting in the first place.
• XSE: Choose this if you want the more complete version of the C-HR. It adds the larger 20-inch wheels, surround-view monitor, traffic jam assist, and lane-change assist, and it’s the trim to get if those extra safety and convenience features matter enough to justify the price jump.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on every trim, but the XSE’s added camera and assist features make it the more fully equipped choice.

Choose the 2026 if:

• 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Toyota’s experts highlight it as a fully electric compact crossover with 338 horsepower, standard all-wheel drive, and a fun-to-drive character that prioritizes personality over practicality.
