You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the car’s actual condition and equipment. Should I buy a 2026 Subaru Forester Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Consider the 2025 if:

• The 2025 adds efficiency, more power, and a few extra features.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year option with strong clean-inventory availability and a decent share of good deals, the 2026 is the primary path to consider. If you’re more price-sensitive and want the earlier version’s efficiency-focused appeal, the 2025 is worth a look as a secondary option.
