New & Used 2026 RAM 1500 for Sale nearPrinceton, NJ

How much does the 2026 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 6.37% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,981 listings available, which suggests you should have a healthy number of trucks to compare.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 a good car?

Generally — the 2026 RAM 1500 earns a 4.3/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for used-truck shoppers. The truck’s appeal centers on its characterful Hemi V8, broad configuration range, and premium interior materials in higher trims, while the expert review also highlights luxurious and off-road-ready versions. The trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard and there is no base two-door work truck. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology. With 32.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction. The truck’s powertrain lineup is described as smooth and capable, and the Hemi V8 is presented as a familiar, proven option rather than a radical new design. The expert review also notes that the V8 brings the traditional truck character many buyers still want, which can matter if you plan to keep the truck for the long haul. If you’re buying used, the main ownership risk is paying extra for a desirable engine and trim combination without getting the condition or equipment level you expected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 RAM 1500?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the truck’s equipment matches the trim and cab configuration you want. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re shopping for a higher-trim truck with more technology or a powertrain option that may have been used for towing. Focus on overall condition, because the lineup spans everything from basic work-truck setups to luxury-oriented models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Lower trims like Tradesman are pretty basic inside, with cloth seats and lots of plastic trim, while higher trims add much richer materials and more upscale styling. The lineup also includes off-road-oriented models and premium versions, so make sure the trim you choose matches the equipment level you expect.
• Powertrain: The base 3.6-liter V6 makes 305 hp and 271 lb-ft, the Hemi V8 makes 395 hp and 410 lb-ft, and the turbocharged inline-six options deliver more power than the V8. The V8 adds traditional truck character, but the turbo six is the stronger value on paper and offers better fuel economy.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross traffic alert. Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning, and traffic sign recognition are standard on the Tungsten grade and available on other models through option packages.
• Infotainment: Ram’s Uconnect 5 system includes standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Screen setups vary by trim, with a small 3.5-inch display on base Tradesman models and larger driver displays on most other versions, plus an optional 10.25-inch passenger screen and available head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The base V6 uses an eTorque mild hybrid system, and the Hemi V8 also gets eTorque for a mild bump in fuel efficiency. The turbocharged inline-six delivers superior fuel economy, though the exact mpg figures are not stated here.

Which 2026 RAM 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2026 RAM 1500 is offered in 10 trim levels: Tradesman, Express, Warlock, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, RHO, Limited, Limited Longhorn, Tungsten.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the most basic version, with cloth seats, lots of plastic trim, a small 3.5-inch driver display, and a six-speaker audio system. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry point, but it is clearly the least upscale choice.
• Express: This trim keeps the lower-end pricing focus and gets the blacked-out grille treatment. It is a straightforward step up if you want a simpler truck without moving far up the price ladder.
• Warlock: Like the other lower-end trims, it uses a blacked-out grille and standard six-speaker audio. It suits you if you want a more styled entry-level truck without chasing luxury features.
• Big Horn: This is the best-value trim in the lineup because it adds more visual polish and a nine-speaker audio system with a subwoofer. It feels like the sweet spot if you want a nicer cabin without jumping into luxury pricing.
• Laramie: This trim brings leather and a more upscale look, including an available Bison Brown/Sea Salt Gray two-tone interior. It is a strong choice if you want a clear step up in comfort and presentation.
• Rebel: This is one of the off-road-oriented models and can be paired with the Harman Kardon 19-speaker audio package. Choose it if you want a more rugged personality without giving up premium equipment.
• RHO: This is also an off-road model, positioned for buyers who want that character in the lineup. It belongs on your list if off-road styling and capability matter more than pure luxury.
• Limited: This trim adds open-pore wood trim and standard Harman Kardon audio, giving you a more premium cabin experience. It is a good fit if you want luxury without going all the way to the top.
• Limited Longhorn: This version also gets open-pore wood trim and a more upscale interior presentation. It is best if you want a distinctly premium truck with a traditional luxury feel.
• Tungsten: This is the top trim, with high-end leather surfaces, a unique chrome-and-black grille mesh pattern, standard Harman Kardon audio, and a 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere system. It also gets standard Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning, and traffic sign recognition, making it the most fully equipped choice.

What is the 2026 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $51,256 sits slightly below last year's $54,745.

That softer pricing suggests the truck is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can help you enter ownership at a better value. For a future seller, that also means resale expectations should be grounded in the current market rather than last year’s higher average. If demand stays steady, well-equipped trucks with desirable powertrains and strong condition should remain easier to move than stripped-down examples.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 safe?

The 2026 Ram 1500 earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross traffic alert come standard on all 2026 Ram 1500 trucks. Ram’s Hands-Free Active Driving Assist is included with the Advanced Safety Group II package, and it requires driver attentiveness even though it is hands-free on certain roads. Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning, and traffic sign recognition are standard on the Tungsten grade and available on other models through option packages. The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard across the lineup.

Should I buy a 2026 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The Hemi V8 returns for 2026, giving you a characterful engine choice that many buyers still want.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $42,975, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $51,256 average.
• It brought a major update with more tech, new powertrains, and a hands-free driver-assistance system.

The bottom line: Choose the 2026 if you want the Hemi V8 comeback and a broad, highly configurable lineup. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2025 is the better value play because it costs less and still brings a strong feature set.
