New & Used 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA for Sale nearSalem, OR

Is the 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA a good car?

The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA earns an 8.5/10 from our experts. The model scores 9/10 across Performance, Form and function, and Technology.

Mercedes has redesigned the compact CLA as an electric entry-level fastback sedan, and that shift gives you impressive range potential, a quiet cabin, and the kind of tech-forward setup many luxury shoppers want. It’s also positioned as a smaller, more approachable Mercedes EV rather than a larger, pricier one, which makes it a strong fit if you want premium feel without moving up to a bigger electric sedan.

The trade-offs are clear: the base powertrain is underwhelming, the design may not be for everyone, and advanced safety features are not standard. Even so, the car’s comfortable ride, premium interior materials, and strong technology make it a compelling choice if you value style and everyday ease over outright speed.

Good and great deals account for 36.4% of listings, which suggests there’s at least some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA reliable?

The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA is presented as a comfortable, easy-to-live-with luxury EV rather than a high-strung performance car, and that matters for long-term ownership. The expert evaluation emphasizes a quiet cabin, a confident ride, and a powertrain setup designed to balance low-speed response with highway efficiency.

Mercedes also builds in useful durability-minded tech, including over-the-air updates that can extend to driver-assistance systems, which helps keep the car current over time. On the cost side, Mercedes is expected to include its standard 4-year/50,000-mile limited warranty and roadside assistance, which is a helpful ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is a complex, high-tech luxury EV, so repairs and out-of-warranty ownership costs could be more demanding than on a simpler compact car.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and inspect the car carefully, especially if you’re looking at one with a lot of technology or optional equipment. Pay close attention to the cabin condition, the operation of the screens and charging-related features, and whether the car has the driver-assistance equipment you want, since some of the more advanced systems are not standard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Rear-wheel drive CLA 250+ and all-wheel drive CLA 350 4Matic models are available at launch. The base setup is the one most likely to leave you wanting more if you care about stronger acceleration or richer equipment, while the higher-output version adds more capability.
• Powertrain: The single-motor 250+ makes 268 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque, while the dual-motor CLA 350 4Matic makes 349 hp and 380 lb-ft. The 250+ is the more efficiency-minded choice, while the 350 4Matic is the better pick if you want stronger acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard driver aids include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring with exit assist, emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition. Active steering, lane change assist, automatic lane change, a 360-degree camera system, and parking assist are available, so check carefully for the equipment level you want.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.25-inch driver display and a 14-inch center display with Mercedes’ latest operating system, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. OTA updates are built in, and augmented-reality navigation is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The single-motor CLA is rated at 492 miles on the WLTP cycle, and Mercedes says the car can go from 10 percent to 80 percent charge in 22 minutes on DC fast charging.

Which 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA trim should I buy?

The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA is offered in 2 trim levels: CLA 250+ and CLA 350 4Matic.

Here's the short version:

• CLA 250+: This is the better-value choice if you want the CLA’s core appeal: quiet driving, strong range potential, and the full luxury-tech experience without paying for extra performance you may not need. It’s the one to focus on if comfort and efficiency matter most.
• CLA 350 4Matic: Choose this if you want the stronger dual-motor setup and quicker acceleration. It’s the more powerful option, but it makes the most sense if you’re willing to pay more for performance rather than just the standard luxury EV experience.

Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring with exit assist, emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition. More advanced driver-assistance features are available, so verify the exact package on any used example.
